I am now doing Secretarial duties, due to Elder shortage in my cong.
by african GB Member ini am receiving all the letters/e-mails from bethel, i receive time reports(s4) from publishers and i also have access to all cong.
files, including jc information.. i am to a certain extend running our cong., so i am essentially the ceo of the cong.. what a feeling ex-bro's and sis's!
i never actually thought i'll be the ceo of any organisation in my life, thanks to jw's i now have the opportunity to "call the shots".. funny thing is they don't know that i am on a mission to "liquidate" this "company"(wbts)..

Disfellowshipped.... a question
by liz_south inso... if there's anyone from bethel or an elder who could comment on this question i would appreciate it.
i am beyond understanding this..... my sister's daughter - (my neice - not a jw) is getting married to a young man (not a jw) in a few weeks.. her dad is df'd - so is our brother.. apparently my other sister and her "elder" husband can attend the wedding if the bride's df'd father is in attendance but not if her df'd uncle (our brother) is there.. please.... i just don't get it!!!!
there's df'd and then more df'd????

Had any Dreams Lately you Want to Share ? What Meanings do you Get ?
by flipper ingawd- i had a crazy dream last night.
in books i've read about dreaming- it has stated many times dreams are about " unfinished situations " in your life that are trying to sort out within your dreams.. my dream was : my son flipper junior and me were being chased by government thugs who wanted us to release some important numbers - a code we had written down.
only problem was is this code had information that would cost our families & friends lives if these government people got them from us.

Had any Dreams Lately you Want to Share ? What Meanings do you Get ?

I've had 2 quite vivid dreams this week...in the first I was trying so hard to cook a British Roast Dinner and it wouldnt cook properly and I had lots of people waiting to be fed..
In the 2nd I happened to be at a hotel for a convention (?) and so met the celebrity that fans were clamouring to meet when she was going to her car - strangely she had to carried out and was laid out flat for carrying - I talked to her in her car and went to her next hotel with her where her suite had no doors - I then offerend to work for her as her PA but only part time - it concluded with me driving her somewhere in an old car that kept breaking down...????
Any clues here Mr Flipper plz ??

An observation on being free of WT busywork...
by undercover ini was looking at my calender for the remainder of the year and realized just how busy we are.
visiting friends out of town.
friends visiting us from out of town.

Good thread Undercover - and I agree ...we are currently having such a busy summer - weddings - bbqs -birthday parties - holidays away - visitors....days out with the grandbabies -and next week even a stay over in Stratford to see a Shakespeare...good good times....and such a flippin relief !!

and it's obvious when you read their posts that they are good people and really just need some soothing healing love.

Yep there's plenty of heather here especially in Wales and Scotland ! Perversly I want to come and see America lol...

Wouldnt it be good if we could do a 'Worldwide Distribution Work' of this or something similar? Or maybe a distribution to every city's newspaper? Are there enough exJWs to tackle it I wonder? Wishful thinking maybe???

Jesus or Governing Body...Who's the Mediator?
by AwSnap inwhat do you think the jw response would be if i asked if the faithful&discreet slave is considered to mediate for jw's?
would they admit that?...or would they say that jesus is?
from what i've seen here, they seem to acknowledge that the governing body/fds mediates.

I Am Taking Up Auxilliary Pioneering in September.
by african GB Member inthis is gonna be my very first time as a ms.. i'll be on leave for about 3 weeks.. our cong.
is still up and coming, and there is a need for brothers.
right now there is only one elder, 2 ms's including me.. elder told me if i work hard enough and display my love for jehovah, then they will make me an acting secretary in no time.so i am working my a*s off to get that "position".. .

This happened to me very recently - someone I was/am very emotionally attached to - posted on a thread here and I recognized them !! It was completely confirmed when I read their previous posts . It was actually pretty painful for me but hey ho - such is life .....
