after carefully evaluating the my current life situation, i've come to the conclusion that returning to the hall will be best for me.
i simply just don't fit in with the rest of the world.
i don't drink, smoke, have sex, go to clubs, listen to worldly music, watch movies, or gamble.
I'm not going to judge you.....but I'm fascinated and curious:
What will you do when you find that slander is not only allowed, but takes place at the highest positions of authority?
What will you do when you find out many are alcoholics? Including many elders?
What will you do when you find out many elders deal with Internet porn addictions?
Those are just a few of the many questions I have for you......would love to see how you answer ;)

I blew an athletic career and college to become a MS then a young elder.
My blood pressure is going up just thinking about it.....

persecution complex much?.
actor jim caviezel, his voice sometimes cracking with emotion, spoke of being "rejected in my own industry," the problems of his friend mel gibson and his son's cancer in an appearance saturday night at first baptist church of orlando.. the star of "the passion of the christ," whom first baptist pastor david uth described as "more passionate about god" than anyone he's ever met, was in town to give witness to his faith, to urge others to share it and to sell a new all-star audio production of the bible that he has produced.. during a 20-minute talk, caviezel spoke of the troubles that have dogged gibson, his "passion" director, who has been labeled an anti-semite in addition to being caught on tape ranting and cursing out the mother of his youngest child.. .
I loved that movie.
It was profound and made me THINK.....
I had no idea he was out of work after that.....
im noticing that alot of witnesses commit suicide.
one sister i knew a few yrs back, in her early 40's, was having marriage problems in the hall for yrs and everyone knew it.
they only told her to rely on jehovah and asked the elders for guidance.
There have been 4 suicides that I know of in the Pacific NW in the last two years...... disturbing.
Even worse is that the 'elders' will go behind closed doors and pull out their cliches to justify or gloss over the deaths.
Comments like "......poor guy was always depressed"..... or ....." ....they were always crazy"
Its never a big deal. It always comes back to protecting themselves and the 'organization'

Being an elder with a love and passion for people made me leave. I served for 11 years.
Listening to DOs and COs.....and how different they were behind closed doors.....
Elders calling people names and "nut jobs" behind closed doors.
The systematic stripping of a teenagers self esteem in a judicial meeting.
Slander. Tons of it. Daily.
Being an elder....a child of divorce...and now a divorced man myself.....destroyed my view of marriage. I think its a total pile of shit.
on saturday, my ex husband went on the platform at the one day circuit assembly and slandered me in front of 800+ people.. my jw family is even up in arms because he basically lied and ruined any last bits of my reputation that i had left, the worst part is this was elder sanctioned.. i am really exhausted from all the upheaval so i will get right to the point.
the following is what i sent to my mother:.

Slander is a JW's favorite weapon.
Funny thing is.....do you know what separates slander from adultery?
A comma.
Slander was the #1 reason I left. Its allowed and even encouraged.
i quit my bible study a couple days ago after taking a month or two to work up the guts.
have been getting harassing emails/phone calls blah blah blah.
but i got an email today telling me that an unbelieving spouse can be "sanctified" by his believing mate.
Their entire platform is built on guilt and fear......something that Jesus said would NOT ......NOT be present in his message. Read 1 John.
Delete it. Do not try to reason with them.

my wife and i will be moving soon, and as i described in an earlier post we will be using the move as an opportunity to fade.

The brutal truth is that they don't care enough to bother with trying to find you. Yet another way they disgrace Christ.

I too served as a Secretary for a time....but the WT Conductor for much longer.
Its NOT difficult to fade.
Hell......look up an address for a KH in Chicago and have your cards sent there. The current rules are that they aren't supposed to wait; just send them. They will send the cards to the address......you will never show......they will never follow up with the old congregation (even if they did, the elders won't know what to say).........and (((POOOOOOOFFFF))))) you're gone.
FYI.....I did this myself. Left the congregation, went to one across town, stopped going, the secretary called and I told him I'm attending another congregation, he sent my cards to that KH and I've NEVER attended. They asked my mother about me once and she said "leave him alone".......and (((POOOOOOFFFFFFFF)))) ..........I was gone.
I will admit that they are a bit 'afraid' of me....... I was a "big shot elder" (I know...RIDICULOUS)....so I 'know' a lot of their dirty laundry. They just leave me alone.
