  i was given the link to a bit of information regarding on old poster/moderator of this forum.

  i was not sure of the validity of the information so have been trying to find out if it is true.. earlier today craig's estranged wife, kate, (bikerchic) confirmed that craig died at his home on aug 10, 2011.. i am sure that many people here remember craig's time here and how he went out of his way to offer support to posters, even calling them, to give whatever help he could as they adjusted to their post-jw lives.. i know many people here will grieve his loss.. --------------.

  ps i tried posting this earlier but the computer i was working with would not allow the posts.

  I'm devastated.

  I knew Craig personally having grown up in the congregation where his wife was cheating with the elder.

  I had no idea he was no longer a JW.

  Does anyone know if he ever wrote part 17 about 1994 and College???

  I was an elder for 11 years. I was the "popular" elder because I was young, a good speaker and actually completely bought in to loving people

  I can tell you that BY FAR the majority of my time was spent doing two things: dealing with miserable step-parent families and.....wait for it......wait for it........MY FELLOW ELDER'S KIDS!!!!!

  I kept several of the ELDERS KIDS from suicide, gave them money to eat when ignored by their owner 'elder' father, several told me they knew nothing about the Bible that 'my father has never studied with me and now I'm 20'..........the PO punched his kid in the face, the Secretary kept getting his daughter off after several boys had been in her pants, one elder's son was a notorious drunk, the same PO had a daughter that had a threesome with another sister and some guy they met at a club, .....on and on and on it goes.....I could spend a month typing this post.

  From time to time I read yet another poor soul on here asking what to do.....that "the elders want to visit me." I can only say this: WHY ARE YOU EVEN ANSWERING THEIR CALLS?????? These guys are some of the biggest creeps you will ever meet. In the majority of cases, they have massive marriage problems (oh yeah, I got to be the 'catch all' for their wives too), are addicted to porn, have never read the Bible, etc.

  The elder arrangement should be one of the biggest 'proofs' that this organization is a total train wreck. If I see an elder at now I just look them dead in the eye and they turn and run away......they won't get close...but it might be the look on my face that I'll rip their heads off.

  If publishers went to just ONE elders meeting and heard how they speak about you behind closed doors, you would NEVER even give them the time of day. I can't emphasize enough how DAMAGING it is to speak to these men..........they can destroy your belief in God, your self esteem and even your future..........and I emphasize this for young people.

  DO NOT SPEAK TO JW ELDERS!!!

  think about it....how simple.

  even my elder dad agreed that there was really no way to refute this.

  cause if dey been preaching da truuf for foty years and dey say...ahhh we have new light now.... then what does that make the old light of the past forty years???.

  Just ask them if it was okay with Jehovah that they taught UNTRUTH for almost a century and how that affected who was saved or not.

  Apparently God endorsed their 'old light'........

  Testing, testing, testing.....Jehovah TESTS?

  a classroom teacher has to administer tests.

  the teacher doesn't know who is learning and who isn't or how much.. a test pilot flys a new jet to determine what strengths and weaknesses correspond to the design because nobody knows how close.

  the manufacture of it came to the ideal.. fire drills are a test: can everybody exit in an orderly fashion in a reasonable amount of time in case there is a fire.. if you think you may be pregant you take a pregnancy test because you won't know for sure otherwise (unless you wait 9 months!).

  i got this topic from another forum .

  when i was in my judicial committee (2009); after the decision came to disfellowship me one elder asked "pitchess are you gonna be there to hear your announcement .

  now i said "no i'm moving 75 miles north of los angeles " ( they tried to get me to stay, but thats another topic ).

  Just another moronic elder that doesn't even know his own religion or their man made rules.

  DFing is never supposed to be about 'punishment'.....its about love and protecting the congregation. It should show you how inept they are....they don't even know their OWN feelings on matters.....

  Why would anyone go for the 'announcement?'.......guess what? No one cares.... and soon many of those that are shunning you will speak to you like nothing ever happened.

  I would have looked at him and said "no, I won't be here for your lame announcement that no one respects. And furthermore, if I ever hear from you again, I'll consider it harrassment and I'll kick your @$$

  ...well, kinda.. undercover apostate going to new york bethel for one week to just observe, but going veeeeerrry undercover.

  the (perverted) elder hosting the trip doesnt know that i'm an apostate, and the whole trip is gonna be a big front, but its still gonna be fun to just get away from milwaukee.

  look forward to meeting some of you guys that post on here.

  did they really try to prove it to you or did they write you off as hopelessly lost or somewhere in between?

  as some of you are aware, i have been trying to get my wife to prove it to me, and if not her, another believing jehovahs witness.

  this was some of the most blatant , aggressive , controlling information i've seen in awhile in the " witness only " version of the wt.

  of course, it's always blatant, but the manner that was used in this article was so authoritative and demanding - it's apparent the wt society is losing members and they are amping up the control tactics to keep members trapped.
