How Many Know Any COBE's that are 80 years old or more???
by LoisLane looking for Superman ini knew one that died not too long ago.
he was an old presiding overseer of one congo since the early 1960's.. he died in the saddle with his boots on.. he was watchtower overseer and cobe.. he died at 90.. he was beloved by many.. if this new change of getting rid of cobe's happened 10 years ago, when this "honored" one was just 80, i have no idea how he and his family would have taken it.. it certainly would have shaken them and theircongo up.. -----> getting rid of co's at 70.. -----> getting rid of all district overseers.. -----> wt has already let go thousands of bethel workers.. -----> selling off properties and pocketing their profits for themselves.. ----->monthly "donations" from each khall wt/gb owns already.. what a man made up religion.. what a snare and a racket!.

Hmmmm............does this apply to members of the Governing Body too?
Oh yeah......of course not.
Isn't it grand....now, older ones can no longer be part of the 'faithful slave' or be an elder......It just keeps getting better!
Hey....out of curiousity......how old was Moses when he went to Pharoah again?
Oh....er, never mind....new light

Who Will Be The Next Governing Body Member To Defect Like Raymond Franz? I Think Samuel Herd Might Be A Prospect.
by frankiespeakin innot really, it could anyone of those guys who shows a sign of humaness/compassion and regret and go on exposing them all to the media worse than ray franz ever could have.
yes i know this may be wishful thinking/computing on my part but i feel it is a harmless indugence or may be it is just my deep unconscious foretelling a likely scenerio.. and it is good to create a distrust among these guys each one trying to beat the other to jump ship because thier unconscious is giving them fits to get the hell out when the getting is good.
maybe even report their fellow gbs to the authorities to be granted clemency or something.

I have some interesting insight on Sam Herd.....and believe me, I agree with you.
He finds the way elders treat each other to be disgusting.
He isn't a 'dumb' guy perse...... you just have to wonder if he is going to have that 'moment' that wakes him up......
If anyone...him...but I think they are all too scared anymore.

Real reason for new arrangement
by TweetieBird ini apologize if this has already been covered, maybe someone can post the link.. what is the real reason for the society forgiving all loans for kingdom halls and just giving the money for new ones?.

Irony......money given to them as donations, then being used as loans for them to collect interest on.
Yeah....irony.

I was "totally" stopped in my tracks by an "atheist" comment.
by booker-t ini must admit i can at times be a little "egotistical" when it comes to knowledge and the bible.
i have studied the bible for so long and have always had a passion for the bible as a jw and as an ex-jw.
i guess that is all i have left when it comes to religion and as humans we do tend to stroke our egos.

I'm still waiting for someone to answer my question....it goes well with the original post:
If everyone that dies before Armageddon get a ressurection, why aren't JW's just out killing people to ensure they get to the Millinial Reign....why bother with field service??

Anyone recall a time when your congregation came to the aid of a Brother or sister in need??

It was this sort of thing that led me to a bigger question:
If everyone killed before Armageddon is guaranteed a resurrection.....why aren't JW's commanded to buy a good gun and go around shooting everyone they see....screaming "you can thank me in Paradise"......instead of drudging from door to door making it all optional? If you were really "loving" wouldn't you just kill people and let Jehovah sort it out in Paradise?????
Otherwise, they may not read a Watchtower......which would cost them eternal life.
Yeah.....
.......the absurdity is truly infinite.......

Congregation Pledge Disgusted Elder
by rrb2016 inat the meeting the other night, the elder who had to read the announcements, which included the $$ info for the new donation arrangement seemed downright disgusted as he read the announcements and asked for the vote.
he said, "well, here is another organizational change" as he read the letter about the discontinuation of the 2nd meeting during co visit.
then after they voted, he said if you have any questions ask this other elder as if he wanted nothing to do with it.

It was being an elder for over 11 years that woke me up..... if the 'publishers' only knew what was going on behind closed doors. ....however, the fact that they don't know what is going on is also THEIR fault, as it was mine......

Could There Be Another Mass Exodus From This Cult?
by mrquik init's happened before.
how much crap can any rational human being take before they just snap & walk away disgusted?.

Wow......well said wallsofjericho.....
The vast majority of JW's couldn't tell you a damn thing about doctrine, where to find a scripture or the difference between Noah and Moses.
They will always be around in some form. One thing is for certain, if this 1914 'generations' garbage doesn't wake someone up...nothing will.
