hello all, as you know, when jw tv was announced, our board went wild.
many comments, much speculation and alot of negative feedback on the quality, etc.
well, what has me concerned is that i have not heard a peep from any of my connections left in kingdom-land.
1009 absolutely nailed it.
These folks are incredibly uneducated; have no interest in knowing the truth; and frankly, really lazy.
There certainly isn't any subconcious irony in the fact that one posters wife won't misse Game of Thrones or Walking Dead (I don't either!), but completely passes on the refreshing waters of truth found on JW TV.
Very few of them have a freaking clue what being a JW even means.

This 'religion' has cost children, women and many men their LIVES
Whether it be the blood issue (children have died on tables) or Nazi Germany/Malawi....
To say this 'religion' isn't evil is incredibly ignorant
here's my prediction; the gov body giving regular talks will come across as crazy ass idiots.
this will strengthen the opposition and give something to refer too that is concrete evidence of crazy town in the jw headquarters.
there will be screen captures and clips that will be used all the time on youtube accounts to show the ttatt.
What OneEyedJoe described is 90% of JW's..........they are in it for the same reason Mormon's and other groups are in: Its a social network.
I really want to offer some reward to the first person that tracks down the marketing agency or image consultant that got them going down this road........ it is clearly the brainchild of someone with PR experience.
It might even be some Bethelite......but I'm sure they didn't have a college education, right?
i am not sure how you all feel as we all left at different times for different reasons.... but this new bible seems to have put some final nails into a coffin that was once my jw life.
the religion is so far and so different to the religion i grew up in that it has become something i feel no affiliation with anymore, no bond, no shared ideas or even sentimental views.
different teachings on when the end is coming.

The new 'JW' has no clue what this bizarre organization was before.
My only question is this:
Since Jesus has directed the Governing Body to get into the streaming TV business, will he be making a landmark appearance as their first, live interview????
Imagine how many people would suddenly believe.......he could even wear a JW.org button during the interview. Morrison has some Oprah like qualities, doesn't he? He could be the interviewer......
during the public discourse today the brobot talked about the gog of magog, and he stated that he was satan!!!
i had to ask my wife if i heard him correctly, and she said yes he said it is satan.... i couldnt wait to run up to the brobot after the meeting and inform him of he "new light" we just recieved yesterday!!!
when i approached him i asked him : what is gog of magog?
LOL, this story just made my day.
Classic......still teaching old light.....I guess God isn't concerned that people all over the world are getting accurate information so as to base their decisions for salvation on.

tomorrow will be exactly 100 years since his historic announcment.. to commemorate this centennial occasion, i will gladly take bets in any amount of money that the world will not end tomorrow and that on friday, october 3rd, 2014 gmt, we will still all be here, for better or worse.. any die-hard jws interested in taking the other side of this friendly little wager?
