One of the most overlooked problems in this organization.
It happens ALL THE TIME.....I could reel off a dozen names in my area where this was the case.
Little do they seem to realize they are doing the VERY SAME THING GOD CONDEMNED IN MALACHAI....in fact, that same elder will get on stage and give a talk on Malachai.
I honestly think most JW's are just brain dead.
i'm sitting here at work by myself reminiscing about an old situation that created unneccesary tension.
a few years ago as my mother was in the hospital just diagnosed with ovarian cancer,most family were already at the hospital but my sister who lived in new york at the time had not arrived yet.
my mother who was newly reinstated and knew that my sister and her ex husband now boyfriend wanted to stay the week in her house.
I was involved in an experience AFTER I resigned as an elder......where my friends ( The brother came to me as a respected former elder.... he was an MS) ...mother was dying of cancer....her fiancee would come over and feed her food, medication and WHEEL her to the bathroom where he had to aid her in 'relieving herself'
No one wanted that job. he loved her so much that, even though not yet married, he was there by her side. The elders disciplined him, told the sisters NOT to help her, due to their disobedience in not having a chaperone!!!!!!!
It was one of the final straws in my exit.
She died. Ruined. Alone.
When I went to the funeral at the KH, one of the elders started to approach me.....I looked at him with a look of DEATH and shook my head....he stopped in his tracks and backpedaled.
I'm convinced I would have hit him.

asking this question concerning adam and eve is like trying to meddle in the private affairs of a christian married couple today, and asking why they have had no children as yet.
jehovah god set no definite time for adam and eve to begin having perfect children to fill the earth.

i'm curious about how people filled the void after leaving the jws.
i'm at a point, a bit over a year after leaving, where i am finding i have confronted the reality of my life and situation... and it's depressing.
i realize i have holes in my life (a significant other, social activities, something higher/beyond myself) which many worldly people naturally have filled but it feels unnatural for me, almost synthetic and it makes me more depressed the more i think about it.

just looking at latest yearbook and noticed something about the worldwide report (2010)... only 19 countries/lands reported an increase of 10% or more, and only 3 of those had 1,000+ publishers in 2009 (still under 2000 publishers in those 3 lands..) .
any thoughts?.

A 40 year old single brother has his choice of sisters. Its highly slanted in the guy's favor.
I was divorced in my mid 30's, an elder and a father of one. Before I left I was dating 24 year old, beautiful sisters. They all wanted a husband....and one with a 'title?'......oh wow, you're GOLD ............ LOL LOL LOL..........its so SICK..... they could basically give a shit about you as a person......
I left the 'org' 3 years ago.....shocking in this area as a 'famous' elder..... and I STILL have several "sisters" call from all over the west coast..... they desperately want a HUSBAND.... and they are all convinced they will be the one to 'change your mind about Jehovah's organization'.......
One of the main reasons I left was THIS reason...... its impossible to have a healthy relationship in that organization. Its all so distorted for both genders from an early age..... and they continue to wonder why there is so much 'fornication and adultery'.......... its a giant petri dish of insanity for a psychologist/psychiatrist....
I wouldn't even consider a woman that was a JW. They were destroyed from an early age.... and the ones that come 'in' later as adult women are all looking for that next 'elder/missionary/bethelite' because they've been taught too.......... your personality be damned....
