anyone else feel inadequate

over the past 10 years ive tried coming back to the truth only to find myself back in the world doing silly things again and again.

i am onnce again determined to come back to the truth but feel that i am beyond redemption.

i feel ashamed going to talk to the elders cause they have dealt with me on two other occasions once being disfellowshipped 10 years ago and reproved two years ago.

I'm just guessin', but I would say EVERY JW feels inadequate. That's how you're supposed to feel, isn't it. They constantly, week after week, year after year, remind you of how much more you should/could be doing, they constantly force feed guilt on you. You'll NEVER graduate from the Theocratic Minstry School, ...................You could try staying heavily medicated, that helps....for awhile.

But...I'd suggest moving on with you life and accepting that being a JW doesn't work for you.

By what age can a child be indoctrinated?

my step daughter went to the memorial, which is her first meeting in many months.

a 7 year old girl came up to her and asked if she is baptised and when will she get baptised.. my sister has a 4 year old daughter.

when she was introduced to another 4 year old one question she asked was "does he love jehovah.".

My parents thought it was cute when I told the next door neighbor at 3 that Jehovah's doesn't love smokers.

They were a little embarrassed when I asked the same neighbor for a drink of his beer, and told him my dad gets drunk all the time.

How have you benefited by leaving the WT Organization?

i would love to get everyone's input on how each individual or couple has benefited from leaving the jw/wtbs as well as how their life is currently vs. being part of the organization.. eyes wide open .

i have just been told my so called sisters husband committed incest, i have asked her if this is true, but she won't answer properly.

she has never treated me as family because i am worldly, this man is an elder and has preached to me about being imoral, has never had much contact with my family, infact twice over the last 14 years we've seen him.

she has told me i love lies and sordid secrets.

But if we are talking about a child, ....then that child has to be protected now. do whatever you have to do.

Looking for a dating site in particular

i've noticed that most of all dating sites have their search page filled with boxes and that's it.

there's no way for one to actually make a text based search; typing in "apostate" for instance in a text box and thus search for that word in the profile database or am i wrong?

do you know of any dating site that has this feature?

i'm just sat working on a new version of the forum (to bring it more up-to-date and make it better for non-ie browsers) and notice the date on the first post of the backup database that i'm working against ... 23 march 2000.. i can't believe it's been 8 years !

I was also raised in it. I left for good, last KH visit.... in my early 20's. But really started having problems in my early teens.

I used to think it was because I was weak. Maybe something wrong with me mentally, or I was posessed.

Now I know it was because I was strong.

I don't even want to think what it would have been like if I'd stuck it out, to keep my conditional family and friends, and it makes me sick to think I could have raised my children to believe it and we would not have the strong family we have now.

I got disfellowshipped for being "an unrepentant fornicator." Funny because I went to the elders, they didn't come to me.

Me too...what a dumb ass I was, thinking they were going to help me. lisa
