Poll: Who Left Whilst Still Believing?

this is for an upcoming youtube project.

i would love to do this on a mass scale... think there might be something "big" in the results.. 1. were you a born-in (including those who's parents converted while they were still children) or did you convert as an adult?.

2. when you left, did you still (a) fully believe in the truthtm, (b) partially believe or (c) realise it was all a load of crap?.

1. Were you a born-in (including those who's parents converted while they were still children) or did you convert as an adult? Born-in aprox 2 yrs old, I've seen pictures of a Christmas Tree and Birthday Cake before the age of three.

2. When you left, did you still (a) fully believe in the truth TM , (b) partially believe or (c) realise it was all a load of crap? b. partially believed, because I had nothing else to compare it with, except of common sense and logic.

3. Now, do you still (a) fully believe in the truth TM , (b) partially believe or (c) realise it is all a load of crap? c. And that would be "C" With a capital "C" for CRAP

4. When you left, how afraid where you of armageddon TM ? Very afraid, because of many religions believe in an armeageddon. But I just accepted that I would die, and that was that.

5. Do you class yourself now as (a) christian (b) agnostic (c) atheist or (d) other (please state). Currently I consider myself, c. an atheist. I also reserve the right to change my mind if I feel differently.

dave used to tell me that there were more stages to recovery than anyone can really explain... or however he said it that was always so cool.

maybe it's because we never really recover.

i hear from old friends every now and then and think of many more who i met since i started this trip almost 7 years ago.. sometimes an old family member has a reason to call you and you go through a lot of emotions that are part of why you choose to leave.

the "priscilla" deliberations.. gb subcommittees now re-considering role of women in the organization.. example of phoebe as "diakonos" revisited.. could women be appointed to ministerial servant positions in view of the need in congregations?.

me and my wife just got this great book from the library entitled 'i'm perfect you're doomed:tales from a jehovah's witness upbringing' writtin by kyria abrahams (an ex-jw).

i'm not sure if anyone else has mentioned or read it (it's still fairly new), but it is a great book.

for anyone who was raised in the 'troof' or group up in it you will find it very interesting.

Yes, this happened in the state of Ohio.

As far as I can tell, I'm the only one that is distrubed by it. According to my daughter, the boys father and step-mother are excited about having a new baby in the family,....... their first grandchild.

I just keep thinking about the boy, that hasn't even graduated from highschool.

What the hell do you mean "Where did this happen?" I'm not sure, probably the back seat of a car, a friends, maybe in thier home when the parents weren't home.

I don't know the 24yr old. The girl might have her own place,...Oh, one more thing, (and I'm not implying anything here) I'm just sayin', they all live in a trailer park.

The 16yr old is a friend of a friend...extended family on my daughter husband's side of the family. So I'm not personally involved in any way. This was shared with me though my daughter.

I can't help thinking about cases that have happened recently that involved female teacher and a student. So this girl isn't a teacher, but she is older, and possibly more mature. So she holds all the responsibilty, right?

I know I'm just rattlin' on...just have a lot going though my head.
