  firstly, i know that there are some really bright witnesses.

  achievers, thinkers - it was partly my admiration for people like you that kept me in for so long.. "brother peter is such an intelligent man, he couldn't be wrong", was the way i thought.

  this is my biggest dilema.

  although mentally i really feel i could walk away from the org right now, i still have genuine love for the people i have come to know over the years.

  i love people!.

  they think i am dumb, stupid,dislexic, moron....... i know i caused a bit of a stir with some of my first threads here, but please fellows, this is just who i am, i am not minimus, mary, simon, blondie,...i am agbm and you must just accept me as i am because it won't change.

  i am going to put together a page of short experiences of how shunning has affected exjws.

  you do not have to be disfellowshipped, even if you were shunned after being marked or after fading.

  all comments are welcome, such as who shunned you, how long since family have spoken to you, what your situation is, why you are being shunned and how it has made you feel.

  i was disfellowshipped for not taking the neutrality stand.i was shunned.it impacted me even to a nervous breakdown. i did not recover untill 21 years later.

  open question, please list scriptures that give you that direction or what you base your answer upon.

  i know there are so many different viewpoints on this forum, it will be interesting for all to see them and what scriptures or reasoning they are based on.. some examples are,.

  do you feel only one needs to have love, faith in jesus, and those basics and that is what you must proclaim.. do you feel true knowledge must be taught to all, and as much as is known.

  How easy is it to pretend to be a spirtual JW?

  for arguements sake, lets say you walk into a hall where you are not known and introduce yourself as one of them, how easy would it be to pass yourself off as a fully paid up devout dub?.

  i reckon i could do it even now, pull out a doudy dress, look misarble, say all the right things and thanks to jwn i'm in the know about all the most recent developments.

  when i was a firm believer that the wts was god's chosen organization, i didn't really research too much.

  never gave much thought to other opinions.

  if the insight book said so, than it was factual.
