i'm trying to locate an article from one of the jw publications.

not sure which one, but i'm wondering if anyone can help me locate it.

something along the lines of "we do not read their [apostates?

Has a 'Christian' ever murdered somebody?

a jw made the claim "no christian [jw] has ever murdered anyone".. when i showed examples of such, the goalposts moved a bit with "was he a baptized, dedicated witness?".

can anyone provide examples of murders committed by "baptized, dedicated" jws?.

Are logos evil?

i have a vague memory of jws having some objection to logos of some kind in the past, which might be a contradiction to the recent addition of the jw.org logo.. please can someone enlighten me on what their stance used to be regarding logos?.

i always wondered why jws found it so hard to just walk away once they decided they didn't believe anymore.

surely all they have to do is stop going to the meetings, i thought.

i imagined there must be more to it than i could see but i might never know.

ABibleStudent, I'm not nor have ever been a JW. I know quite a bit about them though, partly from this forum and having a family member involved.

I was wondering why it's so hard to walk away and equated it to the marriage that I want to get away from but can't. Though from cultBgone's comment it looks like I have it comparatively easy.

I always wondered why JWs found it so hard to just walk away once they decided they didn't believe anymore. Surely all they have to do is stop going to the meetings, I thought. I imagined there must be more to it than I could see but I might never know. Is it analogous to the marriage I'm stuck in that I know I want to leave but I just can't say the words and walk out? I need help!

i remember a jw telling me this when i was a kid, and he believed it.. i only recently found out how well known this is, and has been for some time.

does anyone know which of the jw mags or books had it in?.

If the pasted article is their only mention of it, I wonder why several ex JWs say they used to believe the story?

It was presented as true to me from a JW in person 20 years ago, and I've heard multiple reports on the internet.

I've seen several people on this site say they used to believe the actual story (not the debunking) when they were under the WT spell.

If there is an article in JW literature presenting it as true, I'd love to see it.

Blondie, is this from Awake? If so, it looks like they are debunking the story. Is there an earlier JW claim that the story is true?
