I find it interesting because I don't go to any church. I don't follow a set of beliefs other than what I read in the Bible. So what makes me a "fundi"?
i have been amazed time again at what i find simply reading the bible, free of jw footnotes.
recently i read the first five or six chapters of john's gospel and found some things that stood out.
of course i'm sure i'm not the first, second or one hundreth to note this, but its all part of the process .

It reminded me of what happened in Egypt when the Muslims surrounded the Coptic church holding Christmas mass so as to protect them from the police and violent protestors. And then how the Christians joined hands and surround the Muslims while in prayer to protect them. Tolerance is a beautiful thing.
But you are right. When the rights of others are trampled on, that is where tolerance ends (i.e blood transfusions, abortion clinic bombings, etc...)

2. Does the Holy Spirit live in you?

If you are going to introduce "Heaven is coming to Earth" as a fact having scriptural support, then the onus is on you to be specific since Revelation chapters 21 and 22 contain 27 and 21 verses in them, respectively and while Revelation 20:2 does make reference to "holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God" and Revelation 20:10 does make reference to "the holy city Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God," there nothing at all contained in these 48 verses about "Heaven is coming to Earth."
Wow, djegg. That shows a very clear Watchtower perspective and how they don't understand hermeneutics or exposition. Christians don't need to rely on "proof texts" like you and other JWs do. If you read ALL of Revelation (and especially 21,22) you will see that the end result of God's Kingdom is that He will LIVE among mankind. As the NWT says, "He will reside with them."
The New Jerusalem is the city of Heaven. It is Heaven itself. Jerusalem was where God's throne was located. So if you say that New Jerusalem is coming down out of Heaven and God will reside with men, then you have your answer.

Nope, I just judged the responses. Like I've said, you all may one day be my brothers in Christ.And even if not, I consider you all friends. Debates should remain in the debate attitude. I haven't taken anything personal on this thread, and I don't think just n from bethel or cofty has either.
But for now the message that I've shown from the Bible has been trampled on. Matthew 7:6 is to be discerned by those attempting to give out the message of Christ through God's Word. But when the general consensus is that God is a monster and people can be a better moral "god" than He is, then it's time to pack up and go. No offense to any of you. There just comes a point where it's pointless to continue the argument. I haven't stuck my tail between my legs and run away. I've given a thorough reason for why I believe the way I do, and others have disagreed with it, and that is fine. They have given the way that they feel and I disagree with it. That's fine.
Maybe they shouldn't toss me their pearls anymore on this thread either.

When did I ever call anyone a pig? Matthew 7:6 is speaking about giving a sacred message to those that do not have any respect for it and do not want to hear it. It says not to give this sacred message out that they may trample it under their feet.
It seems to me that that is just what's happened on this thread.
