i've only recently (within the last year) started listening to christian music.

some of it is pretty cheesey, but i'm getting into a lot of it.

right now i really like brandon heath and casting crowns.

i've been thinking alot over the past few days on what makes a christian a christian, and i'm coming to some different conclusions than i ever have.... the watchtower likes to use the term "true believers" or "true christians".

i'm at a loss here lately.

atheists do think there COULD be a God, we just think its very unlikely.

That would make you an agnostic. An atheist says that there IS NO GOD. If you think that there COULD be a God, then you are an agnostic. And that is according to princeton.edu:

Atheist: someone who denies the existence of god

That's pretty basic Bohm. A-theist literally means "No God" .

So if you think there COULD be a God bohm....well I guess we just found you a new religion....welcome to Agnosticism!!!

Scriptural proof of a paradise earth? Psalms 72:7; Isaiah 33:24

a very close person i know is trying to show biblical proof that there are two classes, one in heaven and the other on a paradise earth, i think i have the celestial class 144000 covered.

i was given these two scriptures as proof that there will be everlasting life on earth.. psalms 72:7 - in his days may the righteous flourish, and abundance of peace till the moon is no more.. isaiah 33:24 - and no resident will say, "i am sick"; the people who dwell there will be forgiven their iniquity.. would anyone have any brackground on these two scriptures and what they really apply to?.

True, but this can be applied in many other cases. I could read all I can about Alexander the Great and feel like I am an authority on him. People could say that I have a "clear understanding on who he was". However, I am almost certainly wrong about many things about his life.

Same here. I can read Zechariah and Revelation and have a clear understanding of what those books say. Does that mean I will have an infallible way to interpret the books? No, but the evidence does seem to show that God is not yet done with the Jewish nation.

just as all TRUE Christians share... wait, what do they share again?

All Christians hold Jesus to be their true Lord and Savior, and the one that they must know and go to for life. You won't find a Christian organization that disagrees with that.

Christians have been really ugly people. They've sone some horrible things. I don't think I have denied that. But we have a reason to be ethical.

On most of these topics I talk about atheists. The hard core atheists. I have no qualms with agnostics because to me, they are still searching. But even some that profess to be agnostic scoff at the idea of there being a God. It's like they think there COULD be a God, but they are not going to respect him. I have a hard time with that.

Cheeze, even "True" agnostics have a wide range of beliefs. Some just don't know if there is a God or not. Some admit the possibility but say, "He is not worth my consern." Some also acknowledge the possibility, but mock him and reject Him as a monster. The line, IMO, is so blurred, that I tend to only want to debate someone who claims to KNOW something. Agnosticism can get very boring. You can say "I don't know" to everything and feel completely justified and HUMBLE that you did not overstep your bounds. Sometimes it seems to me like an excuse for NOT make a stand for what you believe in.

But to each his own. The only reason I continue to talk about it, is I just want others to see Jesus as I've NOW come to see Him. So many are missing out on a fantastic friendship and brotherhood with him. I did talk to Jesus 1 single time until I was 30 years old. And what an amazing brother my Lord is.

i have witness friends telling me, that this is the end right now!

that this globel issue of the nations of egypt, libya and others ... is the sign they looked for.

now with what is happening in the usa, wisconsin to be exact, more trouble is rising and this is it.

It reminds me of a story about a woman that was convinced that Armageddon was going to happen in October 1914. She tried to convert her wealthy son, but he said, "Mother, I will prove to you that this religion is a bunch of hog wash. I am going to build you a house, and you are going to move into the house in NOVEMBER of 1914.

As we all know, 1914 came and went and nothing happened. In Novemember of 1914 the son completed the house and the mother moved in. She refused to give up her JW beliefs. She lived in that house until her death many many years later.

The ones that think THIS is the end...well there is nothing biblical to support their view. I guess once you hang around a false prophet for so long, you start to creat your own. Too bad for them

This song has such a good message, esspecially to those of us that have kids. Bad things rarely happen "all of a sudden" People don't live or crumble in a day.
