I have posted links to several articles with well thought out arguments by scientest about how it could have happened, many addressing your points specifically. It's up to the reader to buy it or not. If your just trying to say you don't believe there was a flood and the bible is a crock than just say it. It's not my job to convince anyone of anything.

The creation.com article was written by two PHD holders, one in Biology the other in Physical Chemistry. The absolute truth is none of us KNOW the absolute answer on HOW PLANTS SURVIVED THE FLOOD. Which is the original question. I am not lobbying for a belief in the literal account. My belief or partial belief is based on my entire experience as a human and take a lot of things this little box can not hold.
The question asked for theories on the How Plants would survive a world wide flood. I provided them, while others just attacked each other and their beliefs. Maybe the original poster should have asked another question like "How does any one believe the Flood account?", or maybe the question was a Red Herring in the first place.

Also seeds in the rotting bodies of humans and animals would have made it as well. Seeds can lie dorment and survive in Salt water for a long time.

I didn't know this thread was about Cagefighter defending some ancient text about something that may or may not have happened. I don't believe Forest Gump did all those things but there is still truth in the story. Hell Forest Gump isn't even a real person.

You asked how plants would survive the flood. The answer is simple, seeds. Whether they sat inside a seagulls colon and got pooped onto a bunch of floating debris or ET came and took samples on his flying saucer I would not know.

I think something happened. Possibly from the writers perspective it was a flood of the "known" world. Cultures besides the Hebrew one have a flood "myth" going to around the same time. Something happened. What, I don't know. I wasn't there.
