  Pentecostal Madness: Panties, Wife swapping, aggression and epylepsy

  though i have never been a pentecostal, i remember well the frequent stories i heard of this religious movement while going from house-to-house in the past.

  i wonder if you guys heard similar stories.

  one story i heard a few times was about the confession of some males going to pentecostal churches to peek at girls throwing themselves all over the floor in epileptic movements, and some mention the word "panties" being exposed as an attraction to them.

  In my opinion the Pentecostals are the other end of the spectrum from the JW's. They are as obsessed with the emotion of religion as the JW's are with their self-righteousness. I know many "nice" JW's and Pentecostals. The problem is when you go to either extreme it requires you to really turn your brain off or at least down. That sends most of the critical thinkers towards the door. An intelligent pastor without his sexual urges in check is like a fox in hen house.

  a 38-year-old illinois man is willing to pay half his annual salary to anyone who can find him a wife, and has even set up a website to promote his cause.

  So my choices are live my life however I want and die at armageddon, lights out, no afterlife?

  Or... I can go to your meetings, field service, assemblies, get-to-gethers, and endure being a JW and my reward is I have to live FOREVER with more JW's?

  Hmmmm....guess which one I am picking?

  Was the 1812 declaration of war on the British empire wrong

  greetings,.

  why are the british always depicted as an evil empire, when in 1812 james madison declared war, the british were defending native american rights, and although the eventual ceasefire was signed in gwent belgium in 1814, and both sides declared victory the only losers were the original owners of the land, displaced onto reservations, the native americans, not much of that in hollywood movies, i'm sorry if i'm being provocative, i'm just not getting many posters on any of my threads, lol!.

  Does creating low self esteem in the R&F play into the hands of the GB?

  officaly they say that they don't want the r&f to have low self esteem, they say that low self esteem is from the devil.. .

  but they create a culture that cannot help but give their r&f crippling self esteem, the constant empasis is on looking at the flaws in oneself.

  "pummeling" yourself because of your sins, all the publications tell us over and over again that we are "dust" and deserve nothing.. .

  30 years of bound volumes make it to the curb .....

  our box of watchtower and awake bound volumes have sat out in the garage the past five yrs .

  this week is city wide clean up so we finally toted them to the curb .

  those suckers are heavy !

  I did the same thing a few years ago. Had a few books that made it in the moves since I left home. Kept the NWT though it is such a ridiculous translation.
