  How do these Hard Core JW's Function?

  i am a fader and through the years i've known and spoken to jw's who live their entire life around the religion.

  they live as though they speak with jesus himself!

  what really got to me was the other day me and my wife had to stop by some elder's house and it was a saturday night.

  I agree with Tiki, the world is scary. Some people are just brainwashed, but some (shaped by unstable childhood experiences) find a peace in the cult.

  to jehovah's witnesses and their apologists, that goal is destruction of truth and the downfall of jehovah's witnesses.

  OKage, you are singing same song I have been on here for a while. If all the doubters, faders, and non-believers that are still in just "took their ball and went home". They would probably have a lot less to fear or worry about than they do from this organization because it would be decimated, especially in the developed countries like U.S., U.K, and CA.

  I have compared it to who is worse the Nazi that did believe and gassed the masses or the one that didn't but went a long because "my wife won't talk to me if I leave" booo eff'n hooo! . I know a lot of guys that would pay their wife and family not to bother them, but I digress.

  There is another angle I want to bring up OTWO. Watching my JW parent's deal with their dying non-JW relatives a few years back was very interesting. They really did not know what to do sometimes. It's like they have never thought out how these scenes are going to play out and what it all means. "You can live forever on Paradise" seems to be a way for a lot of people denying the reality of life it self.

  Twins chose death over blindness

  read a story last night,.

  of 45 year old twins that are already deaf and were now going blind.

  the realization that they could not communicate with each other and their parents in a short time lead them to chose euthanization over the alternative.

  I have really mixed feelings about this, but ultimately it is/was their choice. Just imagine not sight AND no hearing. It would be like being in a sensory depravation tank. I might have had to have a "boating accident" as well.

  Moshe,

  You should revisit the Star Trek Episode, "Spock's Brain". I think we are heading towards that time of planet. Do you rememeber that episode? It's one of my favorites, mostly because of Bone's outright chauvinism.

  well if he did make it up that is a big stretch to cover up your love of ding dong. gay or straight if he did this then he suffers from some time of disorder like histornic or borderline personality. he did not profit from it or make anyone lose money so it is a blip on my outrage meter.
