JW's say that ALL the anointed are members of, or make up, the faith and discreet slave ("FDS"). And they say that from among them a little group form the Governing Body. Can you help out here in a bit of understanding? The FDS were supposedly "appointed" by Christ some time around 1918/1919 time frame. So then, before that time, could the FDS have been the FDS? How could the anointed be the FDS when they hadn't been appointed yet prior to 1918/1919? They were just anointed. The Society teaches that there was a Governing Body since the time of the apostles. I can see a "governing body" at the time of the apostles (although I don't agree with that teaching); however, who made up the "governing body" since the time of the apostles and all through the years from 98 C.E to the year 1918/1919? Can the "governing body" be identified? At any time has the Society ever identified who that "governing body" was/is throughout those years?
Thanks.

Yes, it is. I wish I knew how to format this thing, but I am a bit computer challenged. Sorry. Just place your cursor on the page and use your right and left arrows for movement to the right and left. Again, sorry 'bout that.

Stated here is some of the law of the land, both federal and of the State of California (the bold and italics are my emphasis):
** 1. What is the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (FACE)? The Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act -- often abbreviated as FACE or FACEA -- is a United States law protecting reproductive health service facilities and their staff and patients from violent threats, assault, vandalism, and blockade. Despite its name, FACE also provides the same protection to churches and other places of worship, and to their congregants as well.
** 3. What kinds of activity does the statute prohibit? FACE makes it illegal to use force, the threat of force, or "physical obstruction" intentionally to a) "injure" b) "intimidate" c) "interfere with," or d) attempt to injure/intimidate/interfere with someone because that person is engaged in "obtaining or providing reproductive health services," as those terms are defined in the statute (see below). The same prohibition applies to these same acts committed against someone "lawfully exercising or seeking to exercise the First Amendment right of religious freedom at a place of religious worship."
To clarify the meaning of the law and protect against a challenge that the law is unconstitutionally vague, Congress included explicit definitions for several of the key terms used above: "The term 'interfere with' means to restrict a person's freedom of movement." "The term 'intimidate' means to place a person in reasonable apprehension of bodily harm to him- or herself or to another." "The term 'physical obstruction' means rendering impassable ingress to or egress from a facility that provides reproductive health services or to or from a place of religious worship, or rendering passage to or from such a facility or place of religious worship unreasonably difficult or hazardous." "The term 'reproductive health services' means reproductive health services provided in a hospital, clinic, physician's office, or other facility, and includes medical, surgical, counselling or referral services relating to the human reproductive system, including services relating to pregnancy or the termination of a pregnancy."
** 4. What are the penalties for violating the law? FACE provides for both civil remedies and criminal penalties. The criminal penalties vary according to the severity of the offense and the defendant's prior record of FACE violations. Generally, a first- time offender cannot be sentenced to more than 1 year in prison and a $100,000 fine. For a second or subsequent violation after a prior FACE conviction, a defendant may be imprisoned for no more than 3 years and fined $250,000. _See_ 18 U.S.C. secs. 3559 & 3571 (setting forth applicable fines for different categories of federal offenses). However, more lenient limits apply in cases of exclusively nonviolent physical obstruction. A first-time "blockader" faces no more than 6 months and a $10,000 fine; for subsequent violations, the maximum penalty is 18 months and $25,000. On the other hand, if the offense results in bodily injury, the maximum sentence increases to 10 years, regardless of whether it is a first offense. If death results from the offense, the maximum sentence is life imprisonment. Note that all of the above figures represent *maximum* sentences. (FACE imposes no mandatory minimum sentences.) Offenders are sentenced according to the separate United States Sentencing Guidelines, which require a sentencing calculation based on the severity of the offense and the defendant's prior convictions (whether for FACE violations or for other crimes). Except for career criminals with lengthy records, the Guidelines seldom impose a sentence near the statutory maximum. A first- time nonviolent FACE offender with little or no criminal past would normally be eligible for home detention, "supervised release" (probation), or other alternatives to full incarceration.
Civil remedies: A person injured by a FACE violation may bring a civil suit against the offender. The statute allows a private plaintiff to obtain temporary, preliminary, or permanent injunctive relief, and compensatory and punitive damages, and fees for attorneys. In lieu of proving actual compensatory damages, a plaintiff may elect to recover $5,000 for each violation proven. The U.S. Attorney General (or any state attorney general) may also bring suit in federal court on behalf of third parties injured by FACE violations. In such actions, the court may award the injured parties the types of remedy listed above; moreover, the court may impose civil fines on defendants according to the following schedule: - first offense, nonviolent physical obstruction: $10,000 - other first offenses: $15,000 - subsequent offenses for nonviolent physical obstruction: $15,000 - other subsequent offenses: $25,000 Finally, note that FACE does not limit the availability of civil remedies or criminal penalties allowed under state law for the same conduct.

And then there is the Penal Code of the State of California, which states in pertinent part:

. . .
(d) By nonviolent physical obstruction, intentionally injures, intimidates, or interferes with, or attempts to injure, intimidate, or interfere
with, any person lawfully exercising or seeking to exercise the First Amendment right of religious freedom at a place of

“Inkie, thank you for making sure you show how much bigger you are than me by forgiving me even before I apologized.”
WO, isn’t that a “good thing”?
Anyway, you’re very welcome. Truly.
Not that I think I am “bigger” than you (or anyone else for that matter), because, in truth, that is not what I think of myself at all. But your kindness in so stating is . . . well . . . kind. Truly, as it is written (I think by the apostle Paul), I consider “others as superior to me”; however, just because I believe that, doesn’t negate me having a conversation concerning what I believe to be true or false—kind or disrespectful.
Questions to you: Doesn’t forgiving someone BEFORE they ask for forgiveness automatically make that person who forgives “bigger”? I think it does. Maybe we could get a “count” from people here on this Board who agree with this sentiment. What do you think? Good idea? Has not Jah and His Christ told us to forgive in this way? When Christ died for us (back in the day), didn’t his sacrifice (then) establish forgiveness of our past sins which were yet in the future from his sacrifice?
Oh, and just one more thing, you really haven’t apologized (yet). You said, to quote you: “I will apologize. . . . (a future occurrence, yes?). Be that as it may. . . .
Just some of my thoughts. May Jah bless.

Way Out, Way Out, Way Out,
When I opened your response directed to me, I laughed with mirth and jocundity. I could “hear” you when you wrote: Inkie, Inkie, Inkie . . . . I wasn’t sure if it was condescension or what; nevertheless, it is what it is. And only you know what “it” is. Your post to my attention is, in fact, quite welcome as it now reads as from someone who has a semblance of caring, unlike how your previous posts read.
Nevertheless, I find it hard to believe you. I find it hard to believe that what you wrote in any of your previous posts to AGuest or about AGuest had anything to do with “helpful information” to quote you. From my perspective, you now seem to be backpeddling—but that’s okay. Sometimes backpeddling can be a good decision. You seem, in your latest posts, to have a much gentler tone.
Your apology (if it is sincere) is accepted. Actually, I forgive you for it BEFORE you even ask for it (If you even ask for it.) and I don’t hold anything against you, WO.
“I will apologize for not remembering that mentally disturbed people need super-duper tender gentle handling. [Is “tender gentle handling” only for “mentally disturbed people”? Is that what you believe? Really? That it’s ONLY for “mentally disturbed people”? Wow!] I will speak softly to you if we ever meet face to face [Why ‘thank you,’ Sir.] and I will make sure not to move suddenly or reach out in any way toward your personal space.” [Why ‘thank you’ again, Sir. Your sarcasm here indeed IS of a gentler sort. LOLOL ‘Thank you.’]
Because you seem to now be “concerned” that one does not have a “mental breakdown,” your endeavor to speak “in a super-duper tender gentle sort of way” will, no doubt, be appreciated by one and all—certainly by me.
You also write:
A person who hears voices needs some kind of help. [This writing is of an entirely different sort, WO, entirely different. And it’s much more palatable. And if you truly want people to receive what you present, even the Bible says to ‘season your words with “salt,”’ so that it is received well, yes?] I am trying to bring attention to that. [Well good. That’s much better.] Perhaps we could get a count [And what purpose will a “count” serve?], not of people that believe AGuest is truthful, but of people that believe;
1. AGuest has been Contacted by the spirit realm either by demons, angels, God, or whoever.
2. that JAHESHUA MISCHAJAH is the actual name of God's Holy Spirit.
3. that the Holy Spirit actually directs people TO the Headquarters of Jehovah's Witnesses.
4. that the Holy Spirit directs people to find sales on airflight and arranges all the travel and lodging so that the followers of it's directions can simply just go without worrying or planning- a real show of faith.
I could go on and on, but especially Number 3 here is sufficient.
I am backing away slowly with no sudden moves [Reminds me of an episode from The Three Stooges . . . slowly we turn, step by step, inch by inch. . . . LOLOL Good for you, WO.], awaiting a response from those that really generally agree with the above.
WO: I have known AGuest for quite a number of years now. I can honestly say that she is quite sane. She is loving, kind, pleasant, winsome, charming, sweet, fair, benevolent, gentle, considerate, thoughtful, tender-hearted, generous, intelligent, insightful, perceptive, bright, funny, serious, interesting, warm-hearted. . . . I could go on but I think you get my point. I consider myself honored and greatly blessed to know AGuest.
When you attacked her IN THE WAY THAT YOU DID, I became defensive, out of my love and respect and loyalty to her. I don’t know if you can understand that. It may be difficult. Maybe you can appreciate that. I don’t know. Nevertheless, AGuest is my sister in Christ. And while anyone can challenger her thinking or her beliefs, I will not stand for her being attacked in such unkind and uncaring ways toward another human being. I’m sure you understand. Or, at least, I hope you do.
And that’s all I have to say to you. May Jah, the Most Holy One of Israel, bless you and show you His tender mercies, now and for always. May His Christ shine upon you. Blessings, WO.

Mad Sweeney: Of course, it's okay to take a polar opposite side here. But unlike you, WayOut does it with a total lack of respect and of no kind or compassionate concern for his view of AGuest's possible/probable mental illness. That is the crux of the matter here. Do you not see that? AGuest is not alone in hearing the Voice of the Master, M. Sweeney. Others here do as well, including me. Be that as it may. . . .

OnTheWayOut
“I think I finally get it with you.”—to quote you, WayOut.
You “think”? You have the temerity to call that “thinking”? You don’t think. You rant and you rave and perorate like a maniacal baffoon. Your sarcasm is stinging like the son of a viper that you are manifesting yourself to be. In this thread you have shown yourself to be one of the most angry, hateful, and bitter people on this entire board. You may even take the award for it.
Since when has AGuest ever been unkind to you? Since when has AGuest ever been disrespectful to you? Since when has AGuest ever, in any way, shown you any kind of hatefulness? And yet, that is exactly what you have shown to her here. My Lord, Jaheshua, says that AGuest should “rejoice when people like you say every sort of lying thing about her.” You know not of what you speak. You speak in ignorance. AGuest should “leap for joy at being spoken of in such a way by you for her reward is great in the heavens.”
If you truly believe what you say about AGuest (that she is wacked, crazy, delusional, whatever... for hearing the “voices” that she does), one would “think” (which you obviously don’t do) that in your sincere concern for her (had you had any heartfelt concern) that you would be kind, understanding, compassionate, in your tender mercies and concerns for her well-being. But nooooo . . . not you, on the contrary, you have shown yourself by what you write to be an abhorrent, loathsome, execrable, and odious individual. If you truly believe what you say about AGuest, where is your pity? You have none. How sad for you. How lacking in character.
In saying the things that AGuest has said here on this board, she has not been unkind to anyone, hasn’t called anyone names. You, on the other hand . . . never mind, needless to say. One need only read what you write to know.
It is obvious that you hate religion. I can certainly sympathize totally with those feelings. But Wow! Your violent reaction to the things AGuest has posted here is “WayOut”! How appropriate your name is.
Like AGuest, I too have written a number of times to the Society concerning things I wondered about in their theology. And they have apologized to me on a number of occasions for their delay in responding to me. Like AGuest, they told me in one of their responses to me that they were seriously considering some of the things I, myself, asked of/pointed out to them, in my letters to them. They too made a correction concerning one of their teachings because of what I wrote them. As a matter of fact, they told me to “wait” for a future publication to come out and clarify a point that I made to them. Sure enough, a “further clarification” was written in a Watchtower concerning one of their teachings. It is obvious to me that this kind of thing does happen. And it hasn’t happened only to me.
WayOut, you, yourself, are obviously to be pitied. Your anger and bitterness, while understandable in some cases, is not so here when you attack my sister in Christ. You need to apologize to AGuest for your vituperous and scathing sarcasm. Will AGuest get one? I don’t think anyone is holding his breath.
You, yourself, WayOut, are one of many who should be pitied. And you are.
May the Eternal, Jah of Armies, extend mercy to you for your gross unkindness and deep disrespect.
AGuest, my sistert: I just had to write what I wrote. To tell you “my truth,” WayOut really ticked me off. But as you may surmise, I reined myself in so as to speak only the truth and not transgress. While I understand the feelings of the Sons of Thunder, I do not necessarily want to be one.
May our God, Jah, and His Anointed One, continue to bless you as you share whatever our Lord gives you. Praise Jah!
