since getting disfellowshipped or leaving the wt is obviously an extremely difficult and painful experience should one try to convince believing jwses that their believe-system is wrong?

am i right or not that it might be better not to try to put doubts on their minds ??

That is what a disciple does. Paul had to deal with James, and the Christians in Jerusalem who nearly had him killed but he did not give up on them. But the choice is yours of course. Just how we continue in the faith after leaving such evil men can only be our decision to make.The rule is:

Jude 1:23 And others save with fear, pulling [them] out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. 24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

Do JWs eat fat?

reading some of the recent posts on the blood issue reminded me of a verse that i have never yet had a jw explain.

lev 3:17 in the nwt reads " it is a statute to time indefinite for your generations, in all your dwelling places: you must not eat any fat or blood at all.".

jws use other verses to try and show that we mustn't eat blood as = having a blood transfusion.

Even according to the JWs, the only thing from the OT that was carried over into the NT were the ten commandments.

I think that is what the Seventh Day Adventists teach. But your point it well taken. However your thought referes to the book of the Law, the first five books not the history books, Psalms etc.

It was all so simple. (I am) in small letters not caps. Some translations use caps because they intentionally attempt to mislead you, they lie about it. After all it is all translation dependent anyway not something upon which some profound Exodus connection can be based. If we are to be so easily mislead, how then will we ever grasp the truth of scripture? But what surprised me is that you listened to bchamber. Perhaps there is still hope for some.

when i was a jw...i just got baptized on my sixteenth birthday...i was thrilled and excited ...i went to iowa to visit a sister who i had a close relationship with.

when i got there...i was given entry into a brother's house where they were having a huge bbq where steaks were on the grill...and the brother made four steaks...and set one steak aside for himself and declared it was his.

i asked why ...he said "cause i like my steak medium rare.

What about it? Was not the truth passed on to these apostles by Paul? Did not Christ personally appoint him for this purpose there being no one qualified from among His disciples to do this at that time?

John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the

Spirit of truth , is come, he will guide you into all truth : for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

And this it did, but not instantly. It took time, many years in fact before such guidance was complete. And Paul was an important part of this guidance as the NT demonstates so clearly.

Is it not truth that sets us free? Holy Spirit is not something you understand, otherwise you would not have made such a statement but would have believed in what the texts, the product of such Holy Spirit were teaching.

Not to worry. I prefer a steak medium rare but due to diseases that have come into the food chain I settle for medium to medium well. Did you know that many still eat raw meat that has been doctored with onions, egg, and seasonings? This is a delicacy and anyone that has prepared meat balls for supper may very well have sampled the raw mixture to check it for flavor. There is not sin in this but there is some risk so relax.

Why do people thik that the apostles who were expounded the scriptures by Christ Himself, not speak and teach in the manner He taught them - using the same way of speaking?

Because they made mistakes just as we do. The scriptures bring this out as a warning for us all. Did not Peter err when he sided with the Jews and did not Paul correct him? And did not other apostles err for much the same reason? Were not James, Cephas and John identified specifically in scripture as being wrong? The responsibility therefore rests with each one of us and not with such leaders even if they are apostles.

Galatians 2:6 But of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me: God accepteth no mans person:) for they who seemed to be somewhat in conference added nothing to me: 7 But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter; 8 (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:) 9 And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.

You do not understand scripture because you are blinded by what the Watchtower has taught you and you follow men that know nothing of such truth. They have caused you to sin by denying the very blood of Christ that He shed for all.

There may have been some blood in the juice but there was also a lot of water. The blood that you did not see was still in the meat itself and uncooked from what you are saying here. If you eat meat, you are eating blood no matter how it is cooked. I tried to show everyone that this so called rule in Acts is not a truth but an error being made by James that was not caught by Paul at first. He took it as a concession by James that was not really binding upon the faith but optional a matter of conscience if you will mostly to keep from upsetting Jewish Christians. It would be many years later that he returned to Jerusalem to correct it and counsel the Jews against keeping the Law. After all Paul taught against this very letter when he said:

1 Corinthians 10:25 Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, that eat, asking no question for conscience sake:

But what they do not tell you is that none of the Law is binding on Christians Jewish or Gentile. And this letter was written by someone (James) that was corrupting the truth? No! They do not tell you that James still believed in the Law and still observed it when he wrote the letter. And he was trying to enforce at least part of the Law on Gentiles. And this same James tried to compromise Paul and nearly killed him because Paul did not go along with his views? And they do not tell you that not only James but the apostles in Jerusalem continued observing the law for many years after this letter was written until Paul returned to cleanse this Jerusalem congregation from such apostasy? And it was not until Hebrews was written that this practice was finally stamped out and brought under control. And they do not tell you that Paul had to make appointments in his territories to clean up such corrupt teachings by James and those that followed him? Or have you ever heard that James finally corrected his view and wrote the letter called James to patch things up? Have you ever heard them say such things. Well it is all there in scripture but the Watchtower never told you about it did they? Therefore the letter in Acts was shown by Luke (Pauls friend) not as something to follow but an example by Luke of how wrong thinking can go unnoticed in the faith for years causing the difficulties that Paul constantly faced in his ministry. It even managed to get past Paul for a time. Were things that much different then? We each must take responsibility for what we teach others and not depend upon some organization to do this for us.

Calling Jesus our God is not a problem. This term is not a name and can be used for anyone in authority, like a ruler or King. That is something that Trinitarians do NOT want you to know. They keep saying that this makes two Gods when the context determines what is said or meant. Context is something not grasped by many as it is a quality in the text that must be discerned. And the deity of Christ does not mean the Trinity of Christ. The word deity simply does not mean what they say it does. Will someone please show us all the scriptural definition of Deity. Show the verses and all. Show why Deity means trinity? I have tried to get such a definition for years now and still no one has shown me one. Trinitarian use of Deity is a LIE pure and simple. The present dual nature of the Christ is something no one wants to understand and Trinitarians attempt to deny but it is there in scripture. This dual nature will be maintained at least until the final test is completed. The earthly Kingdom and Rule by Christ is something that the WT denies but it is there in scripture for all to read. Such battles rage on and on because it is not reason but the view of organizations that rule the Faith at present.

As I said in the beginning your information it all a waste of time. Nothing that you have said, not all the commentaries or all the references prove your point. After all they are written by Trinitarians and as bad as the Watchtower when it comes to explaining such texts. And their explanations are silly. A child should be able so see through them.

I showed you the question and the answer to it. That is the context the direct statement against which the phrase must be understood. Nothing you said or shown refutes this simple fact. Now if you would like to deal with it then fine. But the references you used do not do that and are of no value whatever.
