here we go again. lets hurl abuse at this tiny little org, while all the while ignoring
the HUGE groups who do far worse things.

Catholic nums were implicated in the murders of ruwandins (spelt wrong).

but do we hear people cursing the pope NO.

THE FACTS ARE SIMPLE.

the wtbts are wrong.

BUT they are not worse than many others groups, and are better than lots all over the world.

GET ON WITH LIFE.

or if you must, attack all religion.

stop beleiving every bad thing you read about jws.

if i wrote an article telling you guys the elders were into satanic child abuse you would all beleive me.

SADLY MANY PEOPLE LIE about the wtbts, and you guys only help them with your fake rage.

i saw a posting the other day where someone was "giving the wtbts fair warning" if they visited him.

YEEH RIGHT. they are reading hisr post and recording it.

some of you have the jws blown out of all proportion.

Any good times?

just wondering if there were any positives to being a jw.

i have read most of the posts and see that a lot of people were jw for years and years and was thinking that not all that time could things have been bad?

oh and somewhere in gen. it is supposed to state that we are living in the 7th day now????

ah yes farkel is right i do drink a lot.

however as in any club there will be good times, and bad.

you will enjoy beleiving you are better and more knowledgable than others.

ARENT WE ALL A BIT BITTER?

i cant help but think some of you guys are just tooooo angry for your past hurts.. weve all got terrible stories which can make us cry, but whats the motivation for such bitterness ?.

some people search out pervets, seemingly to lay these scumbags and their faults at the societys door.. others try to use thier bad times as an excuse to rubbish the entire religion.. i am not saying that jws are great, or that the society is perfect or undeserving of punishment.. but why are we not trying to even up the good points of the religion.. no smoking, no drugs, no abortion, on and on, and on.. and then try to remember the good times you all had at the meetings.

the laughs and the help you gave, and received.

ALL religions are off the mark. but why arent you trying to dissuade people from joining them.

remember catholics ? the inquisition ? all the wars, all the hate, and we waste time trying to destroy an
insigniffagant religion which does a lot of good, as well as bad.

i just dont get you guys. ive had a terribvle time as a witness, and i will never sing because people have been disspirited and left religion.

Who are these elders???

having only started to study with a jw she has yet to inform me of these elders, the book she gave me says a little, but after reading this board i see there is more i have yet to learn.

who are these elders?

i'm picturing a bunch of old men in velvet purple robes sitting around a circular table.

elders are just men.

some are good.

some are bad.

they generally mean well, just like everybody else in the world.

sadly they do have a legaslative role, and therefore if you join jws you ARE liable to answer to them
for your actions, regardless of the matters involved.

they dont realize the power they have. the ones that do are the REALLY danderous ones.

i am going about 3500 miles away,.

so this is quite a tough choice.

i see it this way.

i have spent my life in the org, and so have more in commen, for better or worse than strangers.

surely then i will more likely have a better start with the people im used too.

if the borg don't have the truth....who does?.

a question i've been pondering since learning of the deceiptfull ways of the borg.

once one has the "knowledge" of good and bad, as it were, that the borg are/have lied to its followers, been deceiptfull, misused others quotations to suit thier purpose, and misapplied them, as so very well brought to us by maximus{which by the way, max, have you posted your story anywhere on the forum?
