  it seems to me that we are searching continually for newer and better dirt on the wtbts.. now we hear about jw child abusers.

  child abuse is still a newish thing in the public eye.

  we see the same mistakes .

  i will be breif since im reading silentlambs sight.

  what i meant was this

  we read stuff about the wtbts. at first its enough

  then we read more, we buy all the books, we read the websites. looking for newer and
  more interesting things we didnt know before.

  eventually we learn all the wtbts dirty secrets, and we still want more. so along comes this new one.

  this is like needing something new to keep us angry. (hence the analogy to porn. allways searching for something new.)

  after reading even a bit of silentlambs i dont dought his sincerity.

  but i am sick of having every decision the wtbts make disected and probed for its evil intent.
  i have tried to make it clear that i hate abuse of children.

  i have tried to be polite about my concerns when i wrote this thread.

  but i do not beleive that the wtbts are full of evil perverts trying to avoid the issue.

  i read testimonies from abused people who say the watchtower ruined thier lives, but i would like to find out what
  safegaurds are used in preventing fraudulent claims.

  sadly it seems you cant mention this subject without first agreeing with everybody else on the matter.

  i was in the "truth" for 25 years, along with my family.

  we never heard of abusers in the cong.

  i know elders who have not dealt with the matter ever.

  you and others are correct. i was wrong to question motives. as wrong as they were to question mine.

  abusers should in my opinion be killed. people who hide them should face a simalar punishment.

  but what about the people who latch on to this subject because it gives them another stick to beat the witnesses with.

  ps thank you for wrinting silentlambs i feel better about it now. i was not trying to mitigate the evil that these people do.
  i was trying to question our headlong rush to attack the watchtower.

  did any of you read the entire bible once...?

  just wanted to know if any of you have read the entire bible?

  - i remember that it was mentioned in the congregation many times that this would be a requirement that we were to read the bible in its totality at least once and especially as elders!.

  i myself never had the time (or energy) to read the scriptures from cover to cover.

  i am sorry you guys are clearly only interested in the victims.

  correct me if i am wrong but can people press charges on abusive adults.

  in my country there is no statute of limitation on it either.

  i will reply only this once since i am clearly just an apologist for perverts, and the wtbts (maybe thats the same thing)

  if a pheadophile is accused of a crime somewhere in the world its not news. if he was once at a meeting we all here about it.

  forgive me, but ill draw conclusions from that.

  and yes this thread is much the same as my other thread in july

  ranchette. thats because it still applies.

  to slag me off and say im a as bad as abusers is fucking lousy thing so say.

  i will keep my mouth shut when the next anti witness site opens up claiming they are all sadists who hold black masses

  so far i have said...

  jws are OFTEN victims of pheadophiles using the org to hurt children, as they do in the scouts,
  and lots of other gullible trusting orgs.

  and...

  now i appreciate that this an emotive subject, but please remember i am not condoning this action.

  and...

  fight against child porn on the net if you want to help. but why waste time trying to damage an allready
  criticaly ill l religion.

  and...

  Jw abusers will be caught as well by current systems as they will by attacking the watchtower.

  i do not dought the sincerity of silentlambs, but i think thier efforts would be better placed fighting ALL kinds
  of child abuse.

  i am not blowing it off (bad way sentence to use when discussing child abuse)

  i AM questioning why people try to make the wtbts seem somehow worse in a scandal that is global.

  THIS TO VENICE IT.......

  it may have seemed that i said child abuse was "a common mistake" i meant that the failure to do enough
  to stop it is. allthough if you read any dictionary i would still be ok calling it that.

  ok first off the fact that you could even call child abuse a 'common mistake' unsettles
  me to no end!!!! Ya murder is a common mistake too should we not try and do anything
  about that either that's sick!!!

  As the pathetic door to door work shows NEARLY THE WHOLE WORLD KNOWS THEY ARE WRONG.

  at this moment however, children are being abused.

  now pleeeeease dont fall out with me here buuuut,

  who are you trying to help ?

  the kids being hurt, or yourself. (if you are a rep from silent lambs. forgive me if your not)

  your efforts are being used to malign an allready much disliked group, but are you efforts doing any good ?

  VERY SAD.

  however,

  child abuse is still a newish thing in the public eye. we see the same mistakes
  being made by ALL KINDS OF GROUPS.

  but we tell eachother stories about jw children being abused and cry for them, them we shake
  our fists at the jws and call them awefull.

  this seems to me to be the exjw equivalent of porno. we get bored talking about mexico, and ray franz, etc, etc, etc
  so we latch on to a new cause. ta da !!!!!!! CHILD ABUSE.

  does anybody think active jws will appreciate getting hit with things like this?
  it will only convice them we are all apostates, and send them running home.

  jws have enough wrong about them without attacking them for something nearly everybody
  else has screwed up too.

  do you think the church down your street hasnt done the same thing as the jws ?

  i am angry at the witnesses, but i will not attack them for common mistakes.

  he said if jws dffd all the child abusers we would all complain about that.
