Could This 'Preaching End' Have Legs?
by metatron inok, so they reamed the idiot bethelite who dared to suggest that the preaching work was fufilled - but does that.
end the matter?
suppose you're a witness in a western nation in which all the witness kids are leaving?

Did I miss something? Or are you going off of that one email which suggests that someone called bethel's "legal dept" and asked if it was true? I haven't seen(or heard) anything yet regarding a reaming...although if it was his ownoff the cuff remarks, he will most likely get one.

Please say hello to my wife.
by nicolaou ini've been posting here for quite a long time, so long in fact that it just doesn't feel right that my wife isn't a part of it.
earlier today i created an account for her with the username heron, she'll know why.
i'm not sure if my wife will ever post here but i would feel much more comfortable knowing she is aware that i do.. this is the one post i am going to ask her to read.. so, i'd really appreciate it if you could say hello to my lovely wife.

whenever I see "Praise Jah!!" used as the ironic end of any comment, it just sends me into fits of laughter.
The "praise jah" statement was used from the viewpoint of a local congregation member saying it after this "fine witness" was given to the community. R&F member: "Did you see the latest news about Brother so-and-so? What a fine witness! Praise jah!" (my posting style requires me to inject a lot of satire - some people get it, others do not)
You will never hear me utter this phrase as a result of my own beliefs...

Have they denied this one yet?
by Fatfreek in"... shortly, within our twentieth century, the 'battle in the day of jehovah' will begin against the modern antitype of jerusalem, christendom.
" the nations shall know that i am jehovah - how?

Hmm....I do not believe I have ever seen that quote before. The '89 WT is the more famous one, but this ranks right up there, if not higher.
I wonder if anyone ever called or wrote the WTS post-'75 about it? Prior to '75, no one would have batted an eyelash. The '89 WT occured much deeper in the time of the end, so I'm sure they received many questions about it.
If the WTS views this thread, you can be sure they will either change the phrase in an upcoming CDROM release, or drop the book altogether(most likely due to running out of room on the CD).

Funny pet pics
by Jourles indo you have any funny pet pics?
misanthropic's puppy pics reminded me of a picture i had of our cat chillin' in a sink.
it's ironic in that she is extremely afraid of water - even little drops that splash on her.

(the color sucks because it was taken with a camera phone)

Did anything unusual happen on those three days that could account for the temperature fluctuation? HINT:
My guess is that it got warmer due to the jet contrails disappearing. Normally I would say that having cloud cover keeps the temps up, but contrails are just a synonym for "overcast skies." I imagine that the sun typically reflects off of the 'white' contrails thereby cooling the area beneath, but if the contrails are missing, the earth should absorb the heat.
So which was it Leo? Warmer or cooler?

What melts ice? Colder temps or hotter temps?
So you agree then that the polar caps are melting/shrinking?
