  IF YOU TALK TO THE MEDIA ON BLOOD, FOCUS/GET THIS POINT IN

  i've read alot of stories on the sextuplets, and it's great to have the media reporting 'bad' light on the no-blood policy & jws in general.

  but, we need to ramp it up.

  the media is missing the big story - the fraction lie.

  Forget about the "fractions." Why not attack them on the banned component front? Almost every child born to jw mothers today feed upon her colostrum which contains a healthy amount of leukocytes, or white blood cells. This is also known as the baby's first immunization. The WTS has always used the reasoning of allowing certain components/fractions by way of what is passed naturally from mother to fetus in utero. What they do not acknowledge is that this natural setting of transference of WBC's during breastfeeding is also part of God's way of doing things. If God were to allow a mother to pass WBC's to her baby in a natural setting -- letting her baby intentionally feed upon WBC's!! -- then why would God have a problem with transfusing WBC's?

  The WTS will never address WBC's in this setting. Never.

  don't get me wrong...........there was no one more self righteous then me at 19. moved to kansas at 18 to pioneer and even printed up cards that said............ "have sword with travel"---------contact casarona salina kansas------ aaa (availabe after armegeddon)-----ss (sacred service)...... oh, i was full of myself!

  thought of myself as a spiritual gun fighter.

  to defend truth, justice and all the watchtower bible and tract society stood for.

  These stories are hilarious. They almost remind me of the way JT used to tell of his experiences. If you were to add - *grin* - to your sentences, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

  yes, this is another jh survey.....lmao.

  entering the hall, i went to the toilet to comb my hair and see if i was presntable.

  then once more to wash my hands because too many handshakes....yuck.

  None. I always did my business either before the meeting or when I got home. One of my old kh's had a pee-trap in the floor that always dried up. It stunk it up real BAD.

  Bring it: Mac OS X Versus Windows Vista

  i am ready to upgrade my system (currently windows xp) and am seriously considering switching to apple.. the new windows vista is going to be released soon, and it finally looks like a mac anyway.

  who wants to follow a follower anyway?.

  i need a powerful workstation for graphics, webdesign and 3d animation.. plus, i am very impressed with the new iphone and believe that the ipod culture will continue to keep macworld in the ascendant.

  This isn't so much the OS as it is the graphics card and processor/motherboard.

  Do you mean the Cisco/Linksys branded iPhone? Apple stole the trademarked "iPhone" name from Cisco without coming to an agreement with them to license it first. Bad move by Apple.

  Society's claim of Matt. 24:14 being fulfilled - What it could really mean

  i've had this thought for quite a while and wonder if fits with the recent talk about the wts claiming that matt.

  24:14 has been fulfilled.

  my thought was this --- in the wake of the recent cutbacks at bethel, scaling back of literature, and other cost cutting measures, could the wts be preparing the r&f for the complete or massive reduction of literature that would normally be placed with "householders?

  the WTS was running PSAs with an 800 number

  That just gave me an awesome idea. get a bunch of people with autodialers set for their 800 number. The WTS gets hit with a .10c charge for each call received plus per minute charges(or whatever amount they contracted for). Make 'em bleed even more where it hurts - in the pocketbook!

  so many people here and so little knowledge of jehovah's witnesses.

  there are still people here associating jehovah's witnesses with the watchtower society when that is not the case.

  so many people look to the past not the future.

  What difference does it make where the outlines and materials come from,
  evaluate the material on its own. That is what I do.

  OMG, if that's the best you can come up with, you're gonna be eaten alive here on this board. Microsoft will not take away our computers or turn off our internet access if we openly state to our friends that we believe open source software is better. Microsoft will not tell us that we cannot upgrade to Vista unless we get rid of Firefox, eliminate dual booting with Linux, or any other hairbrained idea.

  Why die over the Blood issue?

  why is the blood doctrine worth dying for to most jw's?.

  when faced with a life-threatening choice of blood or no blood, why don't they take the blood transfusion, then face the music and get disfellowshipped, act repentful and get reinstated in 6 months or 1 year?.

  if you commit fornication or adultery, the punishment is still the same.

  What? All three questions were genuine. Maybe Grissom figured out quickly that all three were equally baited and were meant as "traps."

  A normal jw would try to defend/explain those questions. An apostate would view them and go, "The trap is being set..."

  Governing Body Going After eBay

  hello everyone.. i don't if this has been posted before.

  if it has i apologize, but maybe my version will add to what is already known.. my brother is a district overseer.

  the society sometimes places conferences calls to do's, co's and other overseers, especially when it is something that they do not want to put in writing.

  The first thing that came to my mind was some of those people who are offering CDROM's with literature scanned/copied in pdf format. Some are still copyrighted while many others are not. It could be these people who they plan to target. They cannot do squat with people selling original literature, old or new.

  we had two inches in surrey which put paid to all the trains, sent lorries jacknifing across the m25 and made my journey to work 2.5 hours.

  On the contrary! I am and will always be a winterbird first and sun/beachbum second. I get the best of both worlds here in Michigan. Our ski areas kinda suck compared to Colorado, but at least we have something. The volleyball community is extremely well represented here as well - another reason I would find it hard to move away.
