guess i'm one of those old fashioned folks that uses a camera that requires film.. the aposta-chili-fest banner was a big hit among the faithful.

it was received with thunderous cheering.

flower and i had exchanged pm's and chatted on chat but we had never met.

today i called someone i've known for many, many years, since i was about 5 years old (dim will know who -- josephine), to see how she was doing.

when i was little i was in awe of her and thought she was the most fashionable person i knew.

her parents were old school witnesses who thought nothing of taking the train to new york to argue a point of doctrine with freddie and nathan.

I'm starting up a magazine! wish me luck!

how sorry i was to hear from dansk-he is going through a very difficult time.. i would like all prayers, thoughts, please keep this in mind ____ for me!!!!.

the sad news he has cancer.it is lymphoma!!!

they are waiting on the results of the biopsy before determining treatment..... he didnt want me to say anything at first- as he feels you all have your own problems & he didnt want to upset anyone-because he says "they are dear friends".

ok, it's only an hour to go before we move out for the summer!

we are looking forward to seeing several this summer along our journeys.

we will try to post where we are at and if anyone would like to get together for lunch or just to chat.. this weekend steve, salem & i will be in dallas.

Wow, thank you everyone for the well wishes.

Parade of Sail (tall ships!!) and a wonderful Jazz Fest.

Now that is tempting!!! argggg, but we don't plan on going to the east coast until next summer! I sure hope you have the ships and jazz then, too.

pssst Belmonts, we are planning on staying with you, if that's ok. Don't know when exactly, but will try to keep you informed.

.....On the Road Again!.....

Ok, it's only an hour to go before we move out for the summer! Carpet guys are here and when they are done, we are out of here.

We are looking forward to seeing several this summer along our journeys. We will try to post where we are at and if anyone would like to get together for lunch or just to chat.

This weekend Steve, Salem & I will be in Dallas. Then the following week we will hit the road. We have no set plans except to try to hop the pond for E-man's BBQ and then to the NorthWest area of the USA. Since we are starting from Florida, anyone along the way that wants to meet up, just drop us a PM. We will try to let everyone know at least 24-48 hours ahead of where we are going to be.

So long . We will miss it, but it gets too hot and too crowded.

we were hoping to meet up with beaker but we've had to put it back a week or two, so we just enjoyed the afternoon sunshine in the backyard, sipping shiraz.. we were sitting there reading really deep stuff (the sunday papers!!

) and we got to thinking, what did we used to read?

5. Love reading more than ever. Can't seem to run out of what to read next.

6. hehe, always read "Good Housekeeping" when a Jdub, now I rarely read it.

7. *sigh* I read Cosmo as a Jdub, too. Had to keep up with what was current. *giggles*

9. RD is my mainstay for "people interest" stories.

12. Still keep one of those journals in the house, always had.

13. was me for the last 2 years. (hehe, well.....) now I just come to catch up on gossip.

15. Taking classes with the Coast Guard Auxillary ,Safe Boating, Sailing, Weather, Navigational, Searach & Rescue, etc, so quite busy there.

I look back at what my live was like, or what I can't imagaine I used to do and wonder how I got any reading done at all.
