i am a religion student doing a research project on the doctrines of jehovahs witnesses and so far i have not been able to get any information from anyone, and i dont want to go to the anti-jw web sites to get it so if there is anyone who can help i would very much appreciate your help to get a well balanced view on the jw's

okay, so i know it's not pc to be excited about a storm like hurricane frances, but i reckon since i'm stuck with it anyway, i may as well make the most out of it, hey?

we are just now getting the first feeler bands from the storm...the wind is gusting hard, blowing the rain in almost horizontal sheets.

it's so cool!

Batten down the hatches Dana, now you'll see the real strength!

I'm on pins and needles here wondering if I'll make it home (get off @ 8:30 am, 2 hour drive) before the wind is 60 mph when they close the bridges. To get to the beach are where we live is by bridge. East, west and north. Ahhh, the price of paradise. lol!

Please let us know when you can Dana that everything is ok. If you stay home, be sure to have acess to your attic if the water comes up into your house. Hey! there's a lot of water being dumped by Frances.

The National Anthem, and JW related social dorkiness

we went to a college football game tonight.

i thoroughly enjoyed the singing of the national anthem.

stood up, without a 2nd thought that there should ever be a reason why i shouldnt.

I wonder how many other things out there, are just givens, but we have no idea to do them, thanks to our upbringing

Good question, Netty.

I've noticed it is the little nuances of situations that I need to catch up on. But having a sense of humor and being able to laugh at myself helps. People haven't quite figured out how to respond when I blame it on "just getting out of a cult"! lol But it gives me an oppertunity to explain how JW's are a mind-control group.

hi everyone who remembers us!!!.

sorry that we have not been on the board for ages - actually it seems like a lifetime as so much has happened... we moved house, and then one thing and another - and bang time flies... well this is just to say hello again and to let those who we have chatted with in the past that we are well and alive and kicking jw arse.... more later..... i have even had to rediscover the computer as i have been so busy i have not had the time to sit and'relax'....... but i am able to chill a little now so fingers crossed i will be back chatting to you oldies and you newbies (and alot of them aswell!!!!).
