Do they allow internet at bethel?
by freedom96 in.
.
just curious, with all the internet bashing, etc, if a bethelite wanted to have internet access in their room, would it be allowed.. if so, i wonder if they monitor the activity?

only that an ex friend of ours (still JWs) his son at bethel got his dad a laptop but put on it the software that the son can monitor where he goes on the internet all the way from bethel!!! Yes, across many state lines. This kid is in the computer department. So if he's monitoring his own dad, you can just imagine how they are monitoring the bethel family.

Entering the mind of the suicide bomber
by Dogpatch inentering the mind of the suicide bomber.
the sunday business post (ireland), july 17, 2005 by kevin toolis.
as the tube doors closed behind him, and the circle line train headed west towards edgware road, bomber mohammed sidique khan knew that his next destination was paradise.. around him stood innocent london commuters, but their lives - and their imminent deaths - meant nothing to khan.

When I was in London 2 weeks ago, after the bombings, I was noticing how Muslin's that were interviewed actually stuck up for their friends (the suicide bombers) They would not really answer the reporter's questions but justify the bomber's actions. Total brainwashing and I'm afraid more bombing (Jehad) because the fundamentalist Muslims view themselves at war.
Unfortunately, it was all too easy to understand because of the background in a cult. It is all about mind control and people willing to anything for their "God".

as JW's we were spoon feed on what to believe.
Now you have the wonderful oppertunity to decide for yourself what you believe. It may take years and it may take lots of reading. But the decision is yours.
Enjoy your journey.

"Tear Down the Watchtower Day!"
by 144001 inafter surviving what has been a rather depressing week, an idea suddenly came to me.
after being born and raised in the loathsome cult that is the watchtower, i was deprived of many things, including without limitation all holidays and the accompanying joy that goes with them.
as an adult, i've been celebrating all the traditional "worldly" holidays, but although i enjoy and appreciate them, i've noticed that there's something missing.

hey, great idea, Scully. Since I was one that watched 1975 come and go. But do I really want to celebrate a disappointment? hmmm, just thinking outloud.
I really don't want anything interferring with halloween, so Russel's d/day is out for me.
What about when the WT was registered in PA? Even though I think Rutherford set the WT in motion to what it is today.
Otherwise, March whatever you found sounds great.

Another Xenophobe's Guide To The USA:
by Englishman inbritish xenophobes' guide to the usa
recent intelligence from spanish agent "columbus" has indicated that the hoped-for express sailing route between britain and the tea plantations of ceylon and india is blocked by a large land mass going under the name "the united states of america.
" the following advisory for european travellers was originally compiled by the british secret service, but the recent glasnost in eastern europe has made accessible far more comprehensive and accurate archives from the russian committee for state security.

Just walking a dog? Gertting old
bingo!and he should enjoy the rest of his life while on earth. He has contributed so much with the writings of his two books. He stated that he wrote those books because people wanted to know what happened. He summerizes his experiences well and exposes the hypocricy of the WT, too.
He is a christian and would never state anything for anyone to be a follower of his.
ps, he does NOT go online at all.
