  What do I do?.......

  i'm so upset the more i read and find out about the society.

  its all hard to take for me but i'm accepting it more and more.

  the problem i have is that i want so bad to tell my mom what i have found out.

  I'm sorry to hear your mother is in the shape she is in because of her belief the new system was near. Help her now to get whatever further education for blind she can get.

  As far as letting her know what you are learning, I agree with everyone else. Take it slow. S. Hassan suggests slow, little bits of info to help people look at their religion.

  Also, what are you going to offer her in return?? If you can't replace the hope you will be taking away with another hope, it might ruin her faith and I know that is not what you want to do to her.

  This is a lot of information you are learning and "digesting" for yourself. For the time being until you are ready for the consequences, you might just want to be cheerful and live a life that would help her see that you are ok with God.

  i read crisis of conscience some time ago and it had a profound effect on me.

  i just gave it to my ex-bethelite friend to read (he had already discovered the "truth" about the truth on his own).

  he's about halfway through it and is in the anger stage.

  I sent my brother, raised jw, exbethelite, and a copy of coc for him to read after I told him about the UN thing. He claimed he read "most" of it and didn't have anything to say. I was blown away by his lack of response. He didn't even know that just having the book in his possession would get him df'd. I know he is having trouble in his personal life, but now I really think it goes deeper to some psychological problems. He is totally ignoring what coc has to say. He is the first person I have run across with that response. I, on the other hand, hit all the emotions, but am glad I read it. J2bf

  I'm still "in" trying to fade and remember what it was like the first time I posted. What everyone says is true. Take your time. You know the truth now and there is no power left in the wtbts.

  Also, besides what dungbeetle recommended, try Scot Peck's books. And True Believer by Eric Hoffer was good on mass movements.

  Don't beat yourself up in what you know now. Just go forward and be at peace with yourself first.

  Have fun on the journey and let us know how you are doing.

  they might not be as entirely evil as many of you have pointed out.

  even hitler believed the misinformation that he so strongly promoted, an anti-semitism that stretched back centuries.

  I couldn't pass up commenting on your post.

  First of all, the GB are not victims. They choose to be ignorant. That was the point that hit me the hardest when I learned they chose not to read C.O. Jonnsoen's material on 607. They are not truth seekers, just mass controllers.

  They majority of the GB, I suspect by now, do not go in service and do not attend meetings. They are too old and are confined to the infirmory. What meetings the others go to are for show. Big talks to big audiances. What power.

  I only feel sorry for the sheep without a shepard that are listening to them. But then again, some want to be led astray by the tickling of their ears.
