his teacher very excitedly showed me a large package from country woman....full of candy from the netherlands!
she was amazed at the great cards branda sent along with the candy as well as some maps of her area.

new information on disfellowshipping

is it true that jw's are going to seek out inactive ones and if they are not willing to go back to the kingdom hall that they will be disfellowshipped?

On page 155 in the new OM book the phrase "or by their actions" (about people who do not want to be JWs anymore) is a broad enough term for elders to make announcements about those who do not want to return to the KH. i.e. "SoandSo are no longer one of Jehovah's Witnesses".
The verbal instructions coming down from headquarters through the Circuit Overseerer is to ask anyone who has "faded" away if they are going to return to the meetings, if not, then announce the above.
Time will tell how the elders use the new information. Of course the Society wants to weed out all the sucessful "faders" by such an announcement. And also they want the R & F to believe anyone announced as no longer being a JW was for *gasp* immorality and thus to be treated like all DF'd people.
It will be interesting to see how the people are going to respond to this control issue.

1915 and 1975 you proclaimed the end of the world was comeing.in 1915 you lost 3 quarters of your following.explain if this is true.. 2. you do not allow blood transfusions i understand.this is written in the watchtower magazine i suppose.where in the bible does it say this.. 3. if someone leaves you.why do you try to break all contact with this person.i have known families splitting up over there beliefs.. 4. who makes translations of your bibles.. i am not claiming you are a cult.but i would like to clear up these questions please

thats it! i quit!

my last butt was on the way to work on monday, valentines day.
i remember saying to gwen i might bum a couple smokes off her cuz i didnt want to buy a pack and not finish it...i never did.

Flat Stanley needs to move on!
by bikerchic indamn that boy can eat you would have thought he walked all the way from new york his last designation!
in his defense he's also a worker, he's trimmed our cedar trees, walked the dog, cleaned up the dog's poop, did the dishes (sorry about his arms falling off, they are paper ya know), oh and he did the dishes after he cooked the dinner.........gawd do i really have to part with him?
all in all he's a great little guy, doesn't talk much, is very well behaved and doesn't take up much room either, so anyone interested in having flat stanley be a guest please pm me with your addy first to reply is the winner but get in line for the next designation after.. here is the original link explaining all about flat stanley: .

Making new friends after fading
by M@el5trom inwhat are some good methods for finding and making new friends after fading away?
i know this is critical to help myself and my wife to move on, and we both have suffered from depression partly because we are isolated to each other for now.
we are good friends, but we both feel the need for others also.

Very good question, m. (and welcome to the board)
As JWs we used to have a built-in community with built-in friends. Making and having long time friends is hard to do.
Find things that both you and your wife like to do Volunteer at soup kitchens, meals on wheels, etc. Other good people help with those things and you might someone with similar interests.
Take up a hobby, golf, sailing, cards, dancing. Even going to the library and doing book reviews will get you out and meeting new people.
I'm sure there will be other suggestions, but its a start. Making new friends helps with the depression, too.

Conference in Seattle, poster to give presentation
by jst2laws ini had not intended to promote the next northwest bible conference
but have received some messages from friends who wanted to know if i would be in washingtom again for this conference.
so this will have limited interests unless you just happen to know me, you live in the seattle area and have nothing to do, or you have a peculiar interest in physics.
