agonus: Good point...that makes sense when you allow your mind to think about what is being said.
- So you are only or should only be in control of yourself long enough to relinquish control to someone else...like them...THINK ABOUT IT

what im about to post is the exact words from the co during the last talk of the most recent special assembly day.
even though im out i still try to keep up with what is being said just cause i find it interesting, and alot of stuff i find funny, but this stuff is starting to get scary, and i fear for my friends who are still in.
here are the exact words:.
my younger brother was at bethel in london when the 911 took place in america.
he said this is it and the great tribulation had started!!
i was at work in liverpool in the uk on that day and i was shitin it when he rang my mobile.. i then had a call from other my brother who was df 3 years before but some how he was shitin his pants also.
Everytime something like this happened I thought it was the start of the END...Just stopped getting too worked up over it if it was.
I used to get all worked up and start saying "what if...this or that..." and speculating how it could lead to the End... so sad.

If the law was strictly enforced, both David and Bathsheba would be stoned. The 5 wives would be free to remarry.
But Jehovah intervened. Jehovah judged them. They were forgiven.
There are few problems with this part above (well really the whole thing):

Just got this from my dad... I had to put my boots on to read it. The moral of these stories never add up.

"Abundant peace belongs to those loving your law,
and for them there is no stumbling block".
Psalm 119:165Brother David SplaneSituations in life can cause us to stumble.
Consider the sin of David and Bathsheba.
How did their sin affect those around them?
David had 5 wives. How did it affect them?
Likely, rumors and whispering surrounded them
everywhere they went.
Abigail was one of David's wives. How did she feel?
We know from the Bible account how sensible Abigail was.
How horrible her marriage was with Nabal. She must have
been so full of hope with her marriage to David.
Were her expectations realized? How disappointing
to learn of David's sin with Bathsheba.
If the law was strictly enforced, both David and Bathsheba
would be stoned. The 5 wives would be free to remarry.
But Jehovah intervened. Jehovah judged them.
They were forgiven.
How did the wives come to grips with that fact? They had to understand that God's purpose is
MORE important than anyone's hurt feelings. They would have to learn to see David as Jehovah did.
However hurt they were, David was to remain their husband.
What about Bathsheba? How were those around her affected?
Perhaps she dealt with the accusations of
"Well, Ahithophel was Bathsheba's grandfather...
certainly this was a case of Nepotism"
And consider Bathsheba's son Solomon,
Jehovah chose Solomon to be the heir to the throne
(1Chron. 22:9,10).Another "blow" to the 5 wives and their sons...
Again, the wives would have to view Solomon as Jehovah did.
It would have been SO EASY to develop a critical attitude.
You had to be a spiritual person.
Suppose there was a widow whose only son was
recently stoned for adultery, how would she view
the forgiveness of David and Bathsheba?
As a double-standard?The older men at the gate who were strict followers
of the law, how did they view the ruling of the king
and Bathsheba?
And Nathan how was he viewed? Was he on the
"up and up"?
I mean, didn't David and Bathsheba name one of
their sons, "Nathan"? hmmmm.

i thought it would be interesting to discuss the things we believed as jw's, but were kind of embarassed about and didn't tell the public about, since it would make us look ridiculous.......... one thing i can think of is the idea that only jw's will make it through armageddon.
everyone else would be destroyed.
i would never tell anyone that even though we all believed it.
Cantleave...
Dubby:"Good Morning my name is cantleave I'd like to ask a thought provoking question and would be interested in hearing your response. What would you do if someone came to your door offering you a medicine that gave you the opportunity to live for ever in perfect health? Householder:"Well I'd be very sceptical, I would in fact think they were some kind of con merchant and would want to examine the creditionals of the organisation they represented, I would expect to see peer reviewed study's that provided evidence for the claims made and I would check to see if their were contraindications" Dubby: "Shit man you ask too many f*king questions where's your faith? - I'll have your house when you are destroyed at armageddon!"
Omg!!! That there's funny (sad...but so true...many Jw's think like this)
Sw
truth is funny isn't it?
the religion that christ chose in 1919 because it had the truth, at that time had this to say................................. .
indeed, even if the transgressor refuse to hear (obey) the decision of the entire church, no punishment is to be inflicted or even attempted.
Great info:
I get very offended when they use the term "present truths" to overlook yesterdays false teachings.

so an elder came to my door the other day in field circus.
i looked through the peephole to see who it was, but the way the door is situated against the sky in the background i couldn't see anything but a silhouette.
not to mention he was standing off to the side so to make it hard for anyone to see who was knocking.. so i open the door thinking it was my friend since he is the only jw that knows where i live.
Thanks for sharing this with us...
I cannot see why it would make any difference if he is sincere...Unless you need closure, but it sounds like you already have it.
Lets hope he wakes up and uses his position to bring real help to people he comes in contact with.

no need for eden tree unless god knew an angle was...going to try and foil his purpose for other life forms.this has always not added up for me.
there is really no reason for the tree (s) unless god knew that he had angles that were already bad in their 'hearts'.
so the questions i have on this are.... were the angles tested to see if they would remain faithful?were humans created to be the test for the angles?was it was 'fair' to have spirit creatures (millions of years old?
AGuest...still digesting what you said.

Perry...Why do you assume God was afraid of something?
Not God but Adam...Adam and Jeh should of had a very close relationship, so ADAM could feel he could approach GOD with any problem he had. So they must not of since he did not.

i was beyond mad when i heard this.
it is on page 30 of the wt.. it says "a pioneer named roxana is one who has seen how jehovah provides for his people.
when she asked her employer for permission to take some days off to attend one of our conventions, he angrily retorted that if she went, he would fire her.
I believed it Mary
