Mary---wow...right on ouch
What a pathetic drone you are. You're not fooling anyone on here with your bullshit ideas, but I guess you need to get those 15 minutes in any way you can right?

i would assume that some or a good number of us here as normal humans in this society - consider " lawless " actions to include murder , robbery, extortion, rape, child abuse, war , terrorism, etc.
the wt society has their own definition of what's considered " lawless ".
anything that's considered a disfellowshipping offense in the jehovah's witnesses is now considered " lawless ".

the poster named punkofnice made this statement in another thread:.
but now the washtowel can make the cry of: 'look!
persecution!
My belly is subject to overlapping...now I need help to pee...oops
the jws side of the story:.
police side with mob in attack against christian women in indiadavanagere, indiatwo women were attacked by an angry mob in karnataka state after comforting a grieving neighbor who had lost her husband.
one of the women was beaten, and both were detained by police.. two women who are jehovahs witnesses were invited into the home of their neighbor in the city of davanagere, located in central india, on the morning of december 20, 2010. the witnesses had met the woman a few years ago and were seeking to share a positive thought from the bible with her after learning that her husband had died.
When you know you are breaking the law -- you are a law breaker and subject to its penalty so the price you pay can not be called persecution…When / if someone comes up to you and starts beating or insulting you because of your religion or (?) that would be Religious Persecution.

i have such a love/hate, 50/50 relationship with this organization any more, but a letter was read to the elders and ministerial servants that has pushed me to the 30/70 range in favor of hate, if even momentarily.
most of you if not all are aware of the auxilliary pioneering initiative for this upcoming april.
it's no secret that i'm not real fond of pioneering as its unscriptural for one thing.
Shouldn't the GB and bethel heavies publish their applications to be encouragng to the publishers? Shouldn't every single bethelite sign up since they do noy have homes and families to support and care for? Shouldn't the example come from the top down?

an appendix in the book contains some 120 questions along with hundreds of scriptural "proof texts" that the proselyte is then expected to study.
12 jesus commanded his followers to baptize new disciples in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit.
the following quotation shows what the proselyte is expected to study just prior to baptism:.
ABM-nice one...
Compare the newest baptismal vows to what they said in this 1955 Watchtower Magazine:
w55 7/1 p. 411 Christian Baptism for the New World Society
15 A Christian, therefore, cannot be baptized in the name of the one actually doing the immersing or in the name of any man, nor in the name of any organization, but in the name of the Father, the Son and the holy spirit.

many become and remain witnesses because of the hope of living in a paradise earth.
for those who have left how did you cope with the loss of this hope?
or do you still have this hope?.
It was as real as life itself to me...this is what were looking forward to. I was made to believe WE are not living the real life. This started back in the mid 1950's for me...a different time then it is now. We were not going to get old, no reason to even give it another thought. Now I am getting ready to retire in less then 15 years.

i'm sure others have had the same experience, but it's a bit odd to me now as i see how all the business of jw-land and the constant social proddings can keep a person from leaving for quite some time.. if it hadn't been for the inquisition i might not have left.. .
i'm glad they felt my wife and i were important enough to hound, because that helped immensely.. now for the past two years now i've finally gotten back to being the book-consuming, thinking-machine i was in the past.. .
i feel like i woke up, came home and found myself sitting in a chair reading some odd sort of esoterica and the me that was there said:.
Good-to-know

i know that the failed predictions of amageddon for 1914, 1918, 1925, during wwii, and 1975 have been well documented here and other places, but are there any [documented] 'prophesies' that actually came true?.

Clear enough here...

However, Jehovah did not let the people of Christendom, as led by the clergy, go without being warned that the League was a counterfeit substitute for the real kingdom of God. He had a “prophet” to warn them. This “prophet” was not one man, but was a body of men and women. It was the small group of footstep followers of Jesus Christ, known at that time as International Bible Students.Today they are known as Jehovah’s Christian witnesses. They are still proclaiming a warning, and have been joined and assisted in their commissioned work by hundreds of thousands of persons who have listened to their message with belief.
Of course, it is easy to say that this group acts as a “prophet” of God. It is another thing to prove it. The only way that this can be done is to review the record. What does it show?
