'Joel...G' that's right...I forgot about the adam-eve theory, was it ever in print? I very much remember this being the thought now, I just don't recall if it was in print. I was 20 in 75 and many from our cong left shortly after. I would love to have the time 'taken' given back...( knowledge is power...it is our right to have all available information so we can make an informed decision...not one made for us!!!

has anyone been df'd for visiting and/or posting to this site?
has anyone been df'd for visiting jwfacts or freeminds?.
I know i am getting old...and forget things from time to time, but can someone point me to the scripture (s) that can be used to DF you for this?
When I first seen things like this being done to the friends my eyes were opened up to hypocrisy in the org. That's when I knew something was really wrong.

what if the elders tracked you down and show up at your house to inform you of wrong doing and the action they will take.. what if the elders destroyed your family and now they stand before you smiling with the bible in their hand.. i know my reaction.... it would not be pretty... the police would be at my house very shortly.. do they really believe jah would protect them from those they wronged?
i am not a violent man..... but this is like rubbing your nose in the very pain they caused.. i say this because..... i sense something is in the mix.. my lawyer gave some info because of a legal matter and if i know these bastards.......... they better think twice....
I like how 'DEXTER' handles problems...

dear friends,.
the first song for this week's watchtower study is song #46. it's an old "familiar" one (song #33 in the "sing praises to jehovah" songbook) - of course with new words.
and since it starts out so familiar we at our meeting today sang it from the bottom of our hearts - just as we used to.
OMG...can we get together in groups and practice together?...unsupervised? How about not screwing up the songs in the first place then we would not have to worry about not being able to sing along!!!

example: gravity is real.
because if 607 bce is wrong, then so is 1914 and 1918 and 1919. very simple.
so if we cannot trust secular research, then we can definitely discard the date of 607 bce.
nicely stated...
this topic was inspired by another recent thread started by ak jeff.
the excerpt below is from the book "people of the lie", by the late m. scott peck, who also authored the best-seller "the road less traveled.
" "people of the lie" is about the nature of evil, and dashed all my previously held notions about what evil was.. you would do yourself a favor if your attention span is long enough to take the time to read this, because as you do, i want you to relate what is being said directly to the leaders of the watchtower society, past and present.
Good read...
To ALJeff , I have to say what you state is for me 'right-on'. They have throughout the years said this exact thing 'they are the chosen ones' so we must be with them and follow them to receive the blessings (correct understanding, survival, etc...). So following them even though they may be wrong, will not be counted against us, because they will be held accountable...This may be ok in areas of your like where there is no imminent threat but when there is--- their personal opinions mean nothing…it’s up to you to decide what is best.
And the bible says:
Judgment Day of Personal Accountability. Pre-Christian Hebrews were acquainted with the idea that God would hold them personally accountable for their conduct. (Ec 11:9; 12:14) The Christian Greek Scriptures explain that there will be a specific future period, or “day,” when mankind, both the living and those who died in the past, will individually be judged.—2Ti 4:1, 2.
So someone is not telling the "whole truth"!!! I wonder who that is?
i'm hoping to get clarity on a few points, but please, don't think i'm too lazy to do my own research: i do not have a bible in my house.. or the koran.

Kingdom Hall...JV 318-319
Before World War II, there were a few congregations that built meeting places specially designed for their use. Even as early as 1890, a group of Bible Students in the United States at Mount Lookout, West Virginia, built their own meeting place. Widespread building of Kingdom Halls, however, did not get under way until the 1950’s.
The name Kingdom Hall was suggested in 1935 by J. F. Rutherford, who was then president of the Watch Tower Society. In connection with the Society’s branch facilities in Honolulu, Hawaii, he arranged for the brothers to construct a hall where meetings could be held. When James Harrub asked what Brother Rutherford was going to call the building, he replied: “Don’t you think we should call it ‘Kingdom Hall,’ since that is what we are doing, preaching the good news of the Kingdom?” Thereafter, where possible, halls regularly being used by the Witnesses gradually began to be identified by signs that said “Kingdom Hall.” Thus, when the London Tabernacle was renovated in 1937-38, it was renamed Kingdom Hall. In time, the principal local meeting place of congregations worldwide came to be known as the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

How the (TM) KM School came about...W06 5/15 24
13 Jehovah has brought about progressive adjustments in the earthly part of his organization. These have served to beautify, stabilize, and strengthen his arrangement for our spiritual protection. From the 1870’s to 1932, elders and deacons were voted into office by members of the congregation. In 1932 the elective elders were replaced with a service committee elected by the congregation to assist an appointed service director. During 1938, arrangements were made for the theocratic appointment of all servants in the congregation. Under the direction of the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses, since 1972, recommendations are made and if these are approved, the congregations receive letters theocratically appointing overseers and ministerial servants. Over the years, the role played by the Governing Body has intensified and changes have been made to facilitate its work.
14 Back in 1950, careful consideration of Psalm 45:16 gave rise to an ongoing training program. That text reads: “In place of your forefathers there will come to be your sons, whom you will appoint as princes in all the earth.” Elders now taking the lead in the congregation are being trained for present and post-Armageddon theocratic duties. (Revelation 16:14, 16) The Kingdom Ministry School was started in 1959. At that time, a month-long course of instruction was provided primarily for congregation servants, as presiding overseers were then called. This school has now been extended to offer instruction to all overseers and ministerial servants. These brothers, in turn, take the lead in training individual Witnesses of Jehovah in their respective congregations. Thus, all are assisted spiritually and are helped to increase the effectiveness of their ministry as proclaimers of the good news of the Kingdom.—Mark 13:10.
15Individuals wanting to become part of the Christian congregation must meet certain requirements. Logically, modern-day ridiculers are kept out, even as such ones found no place in Noah’s ark. (2 Peter 3:3-7) Particularly since 1952, Jehovah’s Witnesses have given increased support to an arrangement that helps to protect the congregation—that is, the disfellowshipping of unrepentant sinners. Of course, truly repentant wrongdoers are lovingly helped to ‘make straight paths for their feet.’—Hebrews 12:12, 13; Proverbs 28:13; Galatians 6:1.
16 The spiritually prosperous condition of Jehovah’s people is neither a surprise nor an accident. Through the prophet Isaiah, Jehovah said: “Look! My own servants will eat, but you yourselves will go hungry. Look! My own servants will drink, but you yourselves will go thirsty. Look! My own servants will rejoice, but you yourselves will suffer shame. Look! My own servants will cry out joyfully because of the good condition of the heart, but you yourselves will make outcries because of the pain of heart and you will howl because of sheer breakdown of spirit.” (Isaiah 65:13, 14) Jehovah continues to provide us with an abundant supply of timely and healthful spiritual food that keeps us spiritually strong.—Matthew 24:45.
