  Could the JWs sway you back...?

  op based on mr. freeze's topic - could attending the meetings/studying again sway any of you back to the org.

  hearing the propaganda over and over again is pretty powerful i'm sure.

  (i'm a non-jw, non-christian (no offense), stubborn as a bull and even i had moments of pause based on some of the doctrine (lasted 30 seconds) but i never had family/friends at stake or a background in this.

  Well YES some but not all! But for the most part COs, or those who served at BeAtTell are treated as Royalty. I base this on what I have seen, and like what many others have related here...I've observed.

  What's the impact going to be for the average JW? IT will will go unnoticed...or not a major change!! THE END IS CLOSE YOU KNOW... don't

  worry about these changes in thought 'it won't change the "fact" that the end is sooo close'.

  Are we all bitter?

  i posted a link on fb that lead to a topic here.

  i then had one of my 'friends' start having a go about how bitter everyone is here....fact he said.

  (he used to be a jw elder but left a while back, not sure why he left or if he has even researched the faith since leaving) the more i tried to reason with him that actually it is a support forum, the more he lashed out that everyone here bad mouths the jw's and only attack the jw's.

  • I guess I am bitter to a certain extent, who wouldn't be bitter that they were deceived into joining a cult? But it doesn't define my life, I have moved on and have a very happy life. The thing is that we all come here to vent about our Jehovah's Witness experience, share experiences, and help each other heal. This is just a small part of my life, sometimes I don't come here for years at a time.

  This should be encouraging for many...Like can go on, or continue a new....Thanks

  Are the Witnesses Really Losing Their Young People?

  that article about jehovah's witnesses having the lowest retention rate for born ins keeps popping up every now again ... i'm just curious if any of you have noticed that this is actually the case.

  in the congregation that i grew up in, i'm going to say that 95% of the young people in their teens to mid twenties are either regular pioneering, regular auxiliary pioneering, serving in foreign language congregations or where the need is greater.

  both of my younger sisters are regular pioneers - and the young people in their hall even organize 8 pm to midnight service on friday nights of their own accord.

  It appears they are: many I know are not JWs if held by their standard...they are only a JW by name. This applies to those who appear to be the BEST! It would seem that there are a lot that have two personalities. They may claim to be one how "good" are you (they)?

  Bitter does not denote an inappropriate feeling like they have you feel by asking that question. So yes I am rightfully DISSAPOINTED IN THE LIES THIS CORRUPT ORG has dished out. They took our lives for personal gain! F-them.

  Taking Elders Out of their Comfort Zone; The Little Room

  in the mid-90's my wife faced a bogus charge of gossiping.

  the charge was based on a fleshly sister of a jw easedropping on a conversation.

  we fought the charge with the elders unable to produce any credible report of the actual conversation.
