within the last three months i've had several visits from members of the congragation.
that i used to attend.
with each visit i was promised a return, it hasn't happened yet.
I'm still waiting for an elder to return for a shepherding call. He said he would be back in a couple weeks and it's been almost a year! Not that I mind anymore.

my daughter was with me and asked why did i buy the jw books and i replied to prevent anyone else from buying them.
she then asked what was i going to do with the books and i said i would keep them for a little while and then dispose of them.

i'm afraid of starting a new post because i've stepped on a few feet here with my last post... but i still love you guys.. last night i went home to find my wife and her friend on the couch with the bible, ready to show me how i'm wrong and exercising "apostate thinking".
my wife said, "i am unable to fight you with the bible because you know more than me about it.
but k** knows more and will be able to show you how you are wrong.. so my wife went into the other room so as not to be stumbled by my discussion.
Not sure if this would help, but I looked in the front of the Kingdom Interlinear and realized the "J" references for Jehovah (or whatever they're called) are taken from Bibles from the 15th or 16th century. That made me wonder why we were using "Jehovah" instead of the name Jesus and his disciples used.

Thank you for posting these articles. I run into the same arguements when talking to my husband. He feels like they never made prophecies and therefore aren't a false prophet.
He also runs into the thought stopping worldwide unity, global preaching work, no trinity, no immortality of the soul business.
BrotherDan - A former elders wife was deeply disturbed about the Malawi incident, and her and her husband left a few years back over the UN issue. Gentile Times Reconsidered is exellent for showing the issues with 607...and you can google to find a pdf. My husband would only look at the Biblical evidence, but the archeological and astrological evidence was very interesting.
the co yesterday had proof, that we are definetely in the last seconds of the end times.. he said: "never in the history of mankind, has all the signs of jesus' "end times" happened simultaneously".. earthquakes have happened, pestilence same, wars same, etc etc............. but now all these are being seen together and alarmingly so.
We had that same talk a few years ago...or maybe it was mentioned at a DC? I remember them saying how "all the signs" were happening at once and I was scared! But then I looked online.
It's like their cry for persecution 10 or 15 years ago...they said "persecution isn't a matter of if, but when." I was freaked out. I don't want my kid to sit through those lies.
