  A letter to my parents stating I dont believe in the Org anymore.

  i just sent this letter to my dad 3 days ago.

  i roughly translated it from spanish, so it has many weird sounding sentences but i just wanted to shared it with the board.

  practically i just say good-bye to my family.

  A JW MOTHER'S SO CALLED LOVE

  before i tell you my story i just want to say thank you to everyone on this forum for their sometimes funny,and sometimes sad, and sometimes very thought provoking posts, it has helped me a lot.. my family, which consists of a younger brother and a younger sister and my parents.

  we began studying with the jw's as a family (mother's insistence) in the mid 1980's.. i was then 13, my sister 12, my brother 7, my mother thought she found the answer to all life's problems and became fully brainwashed, and hence if we wanted to be a happy family we had to all become jw's, and so because we were young and mainly to keep our mother happy we all became jw's.. all i can say is my parents life might have been, happier but mine was far from happy.

  i left home as soon as i could i was 16.. my sister at 18 got married to a jw, and they bought a house and settled in to married life, when my sister had her first child at 19 her son was 6 weeks old when my parents moved into their home for a few weeks, while their new home was ready to move into.. during their stay in my sisters home they all got on really well despite a small house and no room to move.

  Elm - I'm so sorry for you and your sister and the rest of your family. Your mother is supposed to be someone who you can trust no matter what and love that you can count on. What she did to your sister is just awful. For her to go around thinking she is in a better standing with God than you guys is total hypocrisy!

  i'm a little shocked they would go this far, then again jehovah's quickening the pace...?

  i was at my last day of the spanish 2-day circuit assembly when they went over the announcements, one of them the economic report.

  it did start off good (for them) mentioning last assembly's (district i assume) actual surplus after the operation costs were taken care of.

  Do they expect the rank and file to believe that the decision to sell was because there was a temporary deficit?

  What a load of bunko.

  They want to sell, that is the deal. It is always cheaper for them to remodel if they want.

  That is shameless.

  They obviously had decided to sell before they even announced this.

  I agree. This has nothing to do with a deficit, if in fact there is a deficit! How can anyone really know how much was donated? They can say whatever they want. Anyone ever verify the amounts? They want to sell. They make money on flipping properties all the time. They are in the bs, mind control and real estate business.

  Need Help Forming a Cohesive Argument

  mr. st. ann and i were talking tonight about "theocratic warfare" and the concept that jws say that it's okay to lie to some people because not everybody is entitled to the truth.. mr. st. ann said two things, one of which was, "isn't lying against the ten commandments?

  " then he said, "didn't jesus say that satan is the father of the lie?

  so if jws are taught by their god that lying is okay for religious reasons, doesn't that make satan their god?

  1. russell made no predictions about 1914.. 2. specifically, russell never predicted christ's "coming" for 1914.

  Wow - great thread! Awesome quotes all in one place to prove the dishonesty going on in this organization.

  You have to be willfully ignorant to deny the lies and changes that have been made. It's a great thing for lurkers to see. If they truly are looking for answers this will help honest ones to really question things and have their eyes opened.

  I can't wrap my head around the inspired by God bit (their reasoning of it). If this organization is NOT inspired by God then how are they chosen by God? What does that mean? On what authority do they lead people to everlasting life and the all encompassing truth? If their words are NOT prophesy, not inspired, then what on earth would anyone need them for? People can read their own Bible and they never would have been taken on this crazy rollercoaster ride in the first place! It's deception on a grand scale.

  They point out mistakes of the Catholic Church and other churches of Christendom. They pick apart everything they say. They point out that they have made changes so they must not be led by God yet they do the same thing! At least some of the churches admit they made mistakes and apologize for them. I fail to see any apologies to people who put their entire lives on hold waiting for 1975. No apologies to people that they murdered during the ban on organ transplants, or people who are murdered because of the blood transfusion issue. How about the rapes and pedophilia issues? How about the murdered ones in Malawi? Shame on them! Just like the Bible says – blind guides leading the blind! Straining out the gnats and swallowing the camels.

  How would a testimony hold up in a court of law where the person rewrote parts of their original story? What if the person claimed that their original story came from God? I do believe they would be found guilty. As guilty as the WTS is!

  Sorry guys . . . back to the issue of rewriting history to cover their lies . . .

  stephen king once said "the biggest sin in writing is to bore the reader".

  if that's true then the biggest sinners are the watchtower corp. reading is so boring anyway (most the time) and if you wanna be a jw you have to read read read.
