  i just found this while searching for info as i was debating a jw on another site.

  this is the most mind-blowing, spaced-out, insane bunch of mess i've ever heard.

  Yes, I know. That talk gives me the creeps as it takes me back to the late 1960s/early 70s when some of the talks were equally as gruesome and designed to create panic among the r&f so we would all work harder at peddling the WT literature from door to door hoping this would save us from being horrifically killed by Jah in the VERY near future. I used to have nightmares, especially after conventions.

  I get really angry when the WT deny some of the things that were said, trying to make out it was all in our imaginations or that we read more into it that was actually implied!

  What Are You Passionate About?

  what's your passion?.

  some people are very intense when it comes to politics, religion, jws, sex, love, the arts, music and almost anything that could get them revved up..

  Art. I love to paint and I am totally unable to walk past an art gallery without going inside and looking at every painting which often drives my family mad.

  I can't imagine a world without art, so I guess you could say I am passionate about it

  So which makes more sense? Sex or no sex in the "new system"?

  obviously jah wouldn't allow for millions of pregnancies in the new system for fear of the same problem today of overpopulation.

  so would he throw in sex but not allow for the women to become pregnant?

  or would there be just no sex at all?

  Members of both sexes will again become as Adam was before Eve was formed.

  Forgive me for being thick but I just can't get my head round this. Does this mean that women are to be phased out and slowly turned into sexless men over a period of time?

  Adam was created male, made in God's image and referred to as a 'he', and this was before Eve was created. How could he be male and sexless? What did he have instead of male genetalia before Eve was created?

  Every mammal on earth, regardless of size shape or species have either male or female genetalia.

  If all MANkind is eventually to become the same with no distinction between man and woman, are we to presume that it is actually the female of the species who will cease to exist?

  Apart from the sex issue, just imagine hundreds of your ancestors all alive at the same time and the same age as yourself

  Going back to the sex issue, what would happen when Jehovah decides the earth is full and tells everyone, sorry no more sex - or maybe OK you can have sex but you will never see another baby, or hear the happy sound of children playing, which would make sex pointless anyway. Also if you have been having sex for hundreds of years with the same person it would probably get a bit monotonous.

  Another thing, won't it be a bit boring spending eternity sitting in fields wearing 1950s clothes looking at baskets of fruit and having to comfort all the lonely lions and tigers who have no more little children to pet them all day long?

  Insulting Terms used by the WashTowel

  loading the language is a propogandist tactic to trigger a reaction in the mind.

  a prime example is the word 'apostate'!.

  i have been called 'spiritually weak' for quitting field service, meetings etc.. how would you respond (without swearing or giving a punch up the hooter), if you were called this?.

  Caedes, I see where you are coming from but I think there is a big difference. Many thousands of JWs lives have been severely affected by spending their formative years being described as 'spiritually weak', 'easily lead', 'bad association', 'not humble', 'worldly' etc etc just for having the audacity to think for themselves and not be a robot like the rest of the JWs.

  To call the Society 'WashTowl' or indeed far more derogatory terms, is not aimed at anyone personally, or used over and over again by members of their own congregation to mentally break them down in what can only be described as mental and emotional bullying.

  You may feel it is hypocritical to use such insulting terms to describe the WTS but the difference is that it is not going to affect anyone as individuals or destroy their confidence, lead to depression and damage their ability to form relationships in their adult lives.

  Are you a fader, Df'd, DA'd, or Still In?

  i thought this would be an interesting poll that would show everyone the backgrounds of all of us when we left, if we have.. for myself, i am not df'd, but i am attempting a fade.

  i still go to some meetings with the wife to help with kids, but that's it.

  no commenting or field service.. what about everyone else?.

  Love it, Nugget. Mine was hardly any better as I was a victim of the "give 'em a 6 month bible study then baptise 'em or forget 'em" regime of the 1960s.

  (((((Amelia))))) bless you, and so glad you are finding comfort and support on this board. To think all us cold, wicked, stone hearted apostates are showing you the love you never got from 'God's chosen people'. Speaks volumes doesn't it!!!!

  Faded as a family over 20 years ago. Moving to a new location and change of congregation helped to initiate the fade without attracting too much attention or any dreaded visits from elders to put us on the spot.

  Would like to officially DA ourselves from the WTS and tell them what we think of them and their damaging teachings, but unable to as most of our extended families on both sides are active JWs yet they have all been wonderfully understanding towards us. We love them too much to risk losing contact with them if they are forced to shun us, which so far has not happened, thank goodness.

  Also, by keeping the door open so to speak, we will be able to help any other family members who decide to fade and need support in the future.

  could i walk into a K/Hall and get literature?

  i know many would say ''why the hell would you do that?".

  just wondering if i could actually get hard copies of some stuff for a 'donation' and not have to hunt it down.... mind you, i'd have a hard time making myself look conservative!.

  Hmmmm, the problem is if you want loads of literature you would have to appear genuinely interested to avoid suspicion, in which case you will find yourself being roped in for bible studies, meetings and all the caboodle.

  I have seen so many cringeworthy occasions over the years where JWs have had to go begging to their ex spouses to provide them with written admissions of fornication so they can remarry. Why does the Society allow non JWs to hold such power over their own people. It is just wrong!

  One of my close JW relatives was forced to live the life of a nun for the best years of her life because, despite constant grovelling, her ex hubby would not give her a confession. The reason? He did not want his daughter calling another man 'daddy', even though he was assured that would never happen. Eventually his concience got the better of him (when his daughter was a teenager and too old to call another man 'daddy') and he gave her the letter she needed.

  Most embarassing JW moment

  mine will surely give me away, but i don't care.

  when i was preggers, i was supposed to have a c-section the first week of the new month.

  so i knew i needed to go out in service so i would not be irregular that month.

  Oh (((((((foundsheep)))))) that makes me so angry. Any woman dreads being in that situation yet there you were, only 15 years old in a strange congregation needing help and all those so called 'sisters' just walked out of the toilets without bothering to discreetly ask the other sisters in the KH for a pad for you????!!!!! It beggers belief. Thank goodness at least one woman eventually came to your aid.

  In my opinion it is all those 'loving sisters' who should be the ones to be embarrassed, not you
