Madrid Zone talk
by wantarevolution inok - so we were visiting friends in madrid this weekend, and went to the zone talk.
around 13500 in attendance at an old bull ring and the talk was given by david splane.
improvements for the field were to make sure that everyone is preached to - there is a tendency just to preach to south americans and ignore spanish people - also magazine placements are down, they have to be improved.

i'm a good listener as my friends will tell you.. i am a born in jw, inactive for at least 2 years now.
i originally joined this forum to find out what my husband was "up to".

How far are you on your journey away from the JW Org?
by punkofnice ini mentally left the org in march 2010. i stepped down as an elder after my lad got into trouble.
i researched the publications to make myself 'spiritually strong' but it backfired.. i was in mental and emotional turmoil, still on fs, the platform and meetings etc.
i had to force myself to conform to ever failing jw doctrine.. i announced to my family that i was not going back to meetings in august 2010 after the 'overlapping' joke of 'new light'.. i told the elders not to call.

I mentally left in April 2010 and stopped attenting meetings 2 months ago. I'm still struggling because hubby is still in although I've shown him enough info. I think he is not ready to leave. My family live far far away so they don't know that I'm fading (except for my DFd brother whom I told everything a few weeks ago).
I'm a little bit afraid of April 17th (memorial). It may be a big trial for me: will be difficult for my husband to accept that I won't go with him. It's not easy since we have got 2 small children.

by garyneal inthis is what the guest speaker was saying at my wife's hall yesterday.
she and i was babysitting our niece and since she had three kids going to the hall with her (including my two daughters) i figured i'd go with her to help out.
they were rambuctious and wild to say the least.. while i was in the hallway with my youngest daughter, i continued to listen to the speaker talk.

Two elders visited me today...
by NVR2L8 intoday i received a visit from 2 elders.
it was the first contact i've had with them sinced i've stopped going out in service or attending the meetings after the 2010 dc in june.
i opened the door without inviting them in despite the cold weather.

I can understand you because I'm in the reverse situation : I'm the one that doesn't attend meetings anymore. My husband still does. They told him one month ago that they will visit us...so we're waiting. I'm really curious about what they are going to tell us (most of all me). In the last few weeks, some of them even stopped by unannounced ....difficult situation.

GB Zone Visit UK May 2011
by billyboy ini've been invited to a special talk as part of a zone visit by a (yet to be named) gb member in may at bowes road , london.
apparently it is being simultaneously piped to quite a few assembly halls across the uk so that many more jws can "enjoy the privilege"..

Elder Missing 24 hours...
by sleepingbeauty ina brother i know of was made up as an elder only some mere 6 weeks ago.
out the blue he has gone total awol and has now been missing over 24 hours.
i wonder if the stress of becoming an elder at 27 yrs old got to him !!!

Hubby is engineer and head of quality management and that's his monthly net wage!!! I think we live in the wrong country! Let's all move to Ethiopia!
Although he still believes it's the truth he told me this morning they are making a fool of themselves when they write such a crap!!!! I think this thread will help him open his eyes a little bit wider
