2013-NU-4-U!-(New-For-You!)
by Atlantis ini have to practice and get better at parallel parking or i am never going to get my license.
i can get the car in the space but i just can't seem to get it out of there without crossing the lines where your not suppose to go.
when you cross the lines it means if there was a car there you would have bumped it.

Who left or got stumbled over the 1995 generation thing?
by Julia Orwell inor the 2000's generation thing?.
how did you feel?
how did it help you wake up?

1995, I was too youg. The 2007 "new understanding of this generation" was the beginning of the end for me. I remember telling my husband :"I'm waiting for the new understanding...I can't swallow this one". I've left mentally before reading about the "2010 understanding" that is even worst than the 2007 one.
Happy to be totally out now and my husband rarely attends a meeting. -

Good time for R&F to preemptively question GB validity
by irondork inwith the new light in the july 15 watchtower, now might be the perfect time for rank and file members to question wether or not the big boys are who they say they are.
in light of the fact that the men who claim to be the sole channel of communication for all mankind could not even grasp their own identity for the last 100 years, wouldn't now be a good time to turn the tables on the elders who are so quick to drag a questioning dub to the back room and demand loyalty to the governing body?.
wouldn't now be a good time to put the july 15 watchtower in the middle of the table and ask to see the credentials on these men without fear of being suspected of apostacy?

I also hoped my sister would wake up due to this "new light", then I saw her posting on Skype this morning :
"Prov 4:18 dans W d'étude de Juillet!! Ouaw,que bueno!"
Judge for yourself
I was like
It's really sad....

Why I believe my baptism was not valid. (welcome comments)
by thebeliever inwhen i was 11 or 12, my best friend (who's father was also an elder) suggested i get some of my mom's cigarettes for us to smoke.
sounded like a good idea, so i did and we tried it.
i thought it was horrible, but she had done it before and whatever.

Do you remember those speeches where they told us thas unbaptized proclaimers would'nt survive the big H? How should a child or a teenager "logically" react while listening to those speeches?
Does someone remember when they changed the questions?

I know this thread is really old, but latelly, I was thinking about cancelling my baptism. I was 13 when I got baptised...way too young.
If an invalidation was possible, they would not be able to disfellowship me/us.... nice dream

If Someone Goes To The Memorial It's A Huge Deal! Do You Know Why???
by minimus ini believe that if a non regular meeting attender shows up for at least the memorial "celebration", it's a sign, that possibly, the person is saveable.
not all hope is lost for them.. i heard that last year, the rumour was that i was going to show up and sit with my mother....(of course, that never happened).. so, if you attended or if your family member or wayward friend showed up, they might have a chance for everlasting (earthly) life, after all!.

... "submarine witness"...that's exactly the reason why I didn't attend this year.

The ten most embarrassing scriptures for Jehovah's Witnesses
by slimboyfat in1. mark 7:15 "there is nothing from outside a man that passes into him that can defile him; but the things that issue forth out of a man are the things that defile a man.. so how can eating black pudding or having a blood transfusion be a sin?.
2. roman 14:5 one [man] judges one day as above another; another [man] judges one day as others; let each one be convinced in his own mind.
so how come they say birthdays and festivals are a sin?.

Wow! This thread is amazing!
Insearchoftruth4 thanks for this one "Isaiah 37 compare 2nd kings 19. Over 2 chapters of duplication." !!! I never saw that...
When I was still in, I prayed not to be asked about that one:
Ecclesiastes 12:7 : "Then the dust returns to the earth just as it happened to be and the spirit itself returns to the [true] God who gave it."
