  i think it's fitting for my very first post to be a thread on jw.net turning myself in to any lurking elders out there on a witch-hunt to cleanse the congregation so that god's choosen ones can "remain in god's love.

  i've known so many who have decided to abandon ship at either the age of 30 or either after 30 years of being baptized.

  i fall into the former category.

  30 is about right. Old enough to start using your experiences in life to help you plan and act on what course you're taking. Young enough to still have that energy and strength to do whatever you want. I was almost 31 when I was mentally done with the cult. It took me a couple of years to get through the anger/hate etc.

  Is CoC out of print?

  today i was looking for my copy of coc, and unfortunately it has come up missing in action.

  perhaps i lent it to someone and forgot to whom.

  whatever the reason, i began an online search for a copy to replace mine - and lo and behold, the copies i found available were priced from $35 or higher, and those places that advertised it at a lesser cost had it marked 'unavailable'.. i am not worried about replacing my copy - i have read it several times.

  I too have lost my copy and went to go replace it only to find it $169 on Amazon! No way! Is Freeminds printing it or able to contact Commentary Press to get them to do a run?

  now it's caught the attention of r. kelly who did some kind of remix or something, (didn't watch the remixed vid).

  i left a message that said everytime there's an article about jws in the news, all the dubs usually come out of the woodwork and leave their messages, but now there seems to be only a 5 messages.

  are they ashamed or something?.

  Is Wikipedia turning pro-Watchtower?

  i was doing some research and stumbled upon the following two wikipedia articles, both of which (at first glance) appear to be mostly pro-watchtower.. take a look for yourself.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/persecution_of_jehovah%27s_witnesses.

  the persecution article seemingly attempts to portray jws as unfairly persecuted.

  You can flag it as biased or needs more info when you come across it there. It's not that hard to edit and change, you just need to be familiar with how Wikipedia is run and the process it takes to submit/edit/etc.

  If some of the people here were to contribute half or what they know on this board, Wikipedia articles concerning JW's could be much more accurate. With a tone of neutrality, instead of outright accusations and name calling.

  Somewhat like the tone you generally take with your blog Cedars. :) Very well done.

  Based on the lawsuit loss from the Conti case, the ramifications and money loss included will be what is going to influence the change. It has to do with something legal. How elders/congregations are classed by the organization. How they are now all on their own in anything brought to court or something along those lines.

  Which also introduces changes in door to door some way. I dont think they'll get rid of it But some type of change. Also have an itch about them auto DA ones that have been inactive over a year or after trying to initialize contact and with no response, DA on absent grounds? I really see them doing this, it goes with the stranglehold grip they have been exerting. This would need a prep-talk to elders as this would affect a metric shit ton.

  Or, they could pull out the big one, THE GREAT TRIBULATION has started, circle the wagons, stop the preaching work, prepare to be persecuted and thrown in concentration camps all over the globe. Speaking on concentration camps, FEMA has them all over the US btw...

  But hey, I've been accused of over speculating before, so whatever.
