The 8 hour school has been announced for the US, it will happen in November & December 2012.

With all due respect, we've heard these "major doctrinal changes are coming" announcements on this board approximately as often as the WTS says Armageddon is coming "soon".

I will grant that this school is being held much sooner that usual - the last 2-day elder school was held in late 2010, so the gap is only 2 years, not the usual 3 or 4. It's also interesting that there is no school for ministerial servants this time, elders only. In past years, the elders' school lasted 2 days, and the MS school was 1 day.
