this was in the july km, so i thought i would share.. the march report for the united states was outstanding!

new peaks in hours, return visits, and bible studies were reached.

there are now 698,507 persons studying with us.

I really don't get why the WBTS is so excited over the numbers. I did a spreadsheet a couple months back and when you're talking about a 2% average increase each year, that's not saying much. The exit rate is almost as high and some years higher than the increase.

The turn over rate in JDubland is atrocious by industry standards.

this is how the wt characterizes "anointed" christians who died faithful to wt doctrine.. a careful reading of matthew 24 (a trumpet blast from an angel will gather the chosen ones), 1 corinthians 15 (ditto), 1 thessalonians 4 (ditto), will reveal that all the dead will remain dead until that event occurs.. it takes a lot of twisting and turning of scripture for the wt to conclude that the dead in christ began to arise after 1918, and that those who died after that time experienced an instantaneous resurrection.. i tremble for them!.

Interesting.

What intrigues me is that before the printing press, the scrolls were handwritten and copied hundred? thousands? of times. Every single time I reflect on this fact, I immediately recall the game in school we used to play where we would stand in a big circle, the teacher would whisper a sentence in the ear of the first student and it would be passed ear to ear all around the circle. How many times did it come back to the teacher correctly? Not once.

So in response to your thought provoking post, I think that is really something to think about. Of course, I can see that opening Pandora's Box if proven true.

What is truth? Discussion with my mother

i asked this question to my mother and her husband the other night in a heated debate about the falsehood that the wbts is teaching its members.

i reasoned that their teachings are a contradiction and how can one live their life in truth, in honesty, without deceit or lies if they accept contradiction within ones faith?.

so again i asked them, "what is truth?

I think they both know that I am setting myself up to walk away and not look back. I'm throwing out a lot of disgust and anger towards the organization in my comments whenever they dare to bring something organization related up.

Bluesbrother, the longer a person is "in" the more desperate they become to hold on to something, anything because of so much of their time and energy has been wasted and given to the org. Thanks for your experience.
