They have the prayers written out? I've been to about 30+ DC's and never once noticed it written out... just saying, never thought they sounded like it was being read from a script... well, most of the time...

Three jw men in a SUV
by mrsjones5 injust a few minutes ago i was sitting facing my front window when i see two men in white shirts carrying books walk by towards the back of my fourplex.
i waited to see if they were who i thought they were and sure enough they were jws each carrying a bible and that little yellow book.
i walked out of my apartment towards the front to get my mail and i see the two men enter a suv and a third man was sitting in the back.

Weird, Weird Dream
by snowbird inwhen i left my sorry, no-account first husband, i moved in with one of my sisters in a big old house with a huge kitchen.. well, last night i dreamed that this was now my house, and a group of jw's were invited by my little jw college daughter to come there and prepare sandwiches for the convention.. they were in my kitchen, preparing food in assembly-line fashion, but refusing to speak to me!
i was so angry and indignant that i woke myself up fuming.
what in the world!!!???

Older man marries younger woman, yes; younger man marries older woman?
by dgp ini understand that marriages between an older man and a much younger woman are a fact of jw life.
the reasons i have seen include the lack of an available prospect, of the fact that the older man has some power in the congregation and therefore marrying him is something like an advantage.
i wonder what the advantage can be, and i would appreciate any light on this (new or old).. but, how often does a younger man marry an older woman?

Half your age + 7 is a good way to figure out what is your personal range. I'm 33, so roughly, someone 23 would be the lowest I could go without raising too much eyebrows...
Don't ask where I got that from, I've heard several friends in different areas use it. lol
