After reading that quote again, I'm pretty convinced it was all fiction. Like the rest of their stories and doctrine.

What was the worst part of the conventions for YOU?
by mochamint22 ini thought it'd be fun to talk about what part of the conventions just made you cringe or be annoyed with.
i can remember a couple things:.
i remember after the tms when they put the list in the back on the announcement board, there were people that would get up while the last song was being sung to write down the info.

I thought I was the only one that didn't remember anything a day later. Hell, I couldn't remember what the last talk was about!
The drama...I was in one back when I was 9 or 10... it was lame but I got star status for a few years for being in one. But the acting has always been HORRIBLE. Most couldn't even get their lip-syncing right!!
The whole thing was mind-numbing. All I could think about was the next time I could stand up and stretch. Why were the chairs/bleachers always the most uncomfortable things to sit in?!
When I got baptized and was given privilege to be an attendant, I was ecstatic. Only because I could walk around anytime I wanted and not pay attention.

praying for a jw partner
by varian induring my early 20ies while studying the bible, and many years after babtizm, i never dated even one sister!
my cong was like in nomansland, and consisted of many older jws.
so it was pretty depressing as a young brother without the slightest hope of finding an appropriate partner.. but one day, a very hot looking sister joined our club for a while, so all of a sudden, there were all types of dudes from other congs coming to our meetings.. i don t know how this conversation came about, but one jw gave me the advice, not to mention a persons name in prayer, because god will know who the right sister will be a suitable partner.

I learned I don't like witness girls. Any witness girls I went out with were fringe girls and probably shouldn't have been a witness. That was only a couple though. The rest were worldly girls, and let me tell ya, they were 100x better than them witness girls.

you will be pleased to learn that during april 2011, publishers who wish to serve as auxiliary pioneers may indicate on the application whether they will be working toward a 30-hour or 50-hour requirement for the month.
this is a special arrangement for the month of april 2011 only.

What's funny is that every brother I know that has gone to bethel and finished their tour of duty said it's not what its all cracked up to be. Some of them outright have said it's the worse place on earth.
