Walkill Bethel Recreational Facility

these two are both full time pioneers, and also participate in various construction projects around the country.
the husband just got back from a 3 week trip to walkill, new york to help with construction on a new residence building at 'the farm' (does anyone call it that anymore?)..

Built in 1928 as a vaudeville and movie house, the Stanley Theater is a massive Gothic-style structure. I and my family gave the Watchtower our inheritance that is a fact my grandmothe (DIED BROKE WE PAYED FOR FUNERAL) gave it all to the $ociety and I gave them a bundle myself as a young adult making big bucks..
In Florida my grandparents cong was mostly elderly retires many with accumulated wealth and MANY were writing their families out of their wills and giving it all to the kingdom.

by undercover ini've seen a few threads/posts where some of y'all have heard from jw contacts and how they've stepped up their 'the end is close' rhetoric because of the earthquake/tsunami in japan.
i usually take those things with a grain of salt.
there's always some jw whose cheese has slipped that reads prophecy into every little thing that happens.

apparently we had just been nailing the final nails in the blood doctrine (by way of discussing the wts flip-flopping) and discussing the (un) scriptural reason for the wts banning of beards.
i was surprised by how few the responses were and the ones that were there were very weak and not to the point.

I was there at the Toronto convention in 1967 as a pre teen and got slapped by my elder dad for not sitting still during the 1975 'revelation' and book release.
