Hi Mary: It was realizing that the Catholic Church gave us the New Testament that got me interested in learning what the Catholic Church really taught. I had always been taught as a JW and a Protestant Christian that the New Testament books were inerrant but then I discovered that the JWs and all of the Protestant groups that I had associated with had very little to do with providing me with these books that they considered to be inerrant. When I found out that it was the Catholic Church that gave me and them (meaning the JWs and the different Protestant groups) the New Testament books that we believed to be inerrant, I was shocked because both the JWs and the protestant groups I associated with both were highly critical of the teachings of the Catholic Church--the very compiler of these inerrant books. It just seemed so inconsistent that we would accept as inerrant, a collection of books from the very same group (meaning the Catholic Church) that we were so critical of that we even referred to the Catholic Church as the Harlot of Babylon........It just seemed like such a logical contradiction that I could not in good conscience say that I believed that the New Testament books are a faithful and inerrant representation of what Christians believe without at least investigating what the Catholic Church, the very Church that gave us these books, really taught. It was an AWESOME game for my Hogs!!!!!! My siblings who are all LSU fans and a couple of them are alums are very upset. I just loved it. It was a great game. I thought if it went into overtime that LSU might pull it out but the Hogs gave them all they could handle plus. I had my Arkansas Alum hat on......the hat is three and 0 when I wear it while watching Razorback games.
Go HOGS!!!!!!

GOOD NEWS! Scientists to create human/animal embryos for research in the UK
by nicolaou ini know it's emotive and i know some will fundamentally disagree that this is good news at all but i believe it is.. .
from the bbc; regulators have agreed in principle to allow human-animal embryos to be created and used for research.
but scientists wanting to use hybrids will still need to make individual applications, the human fertilisation and embryology authority said.

Hi All:
I find this quite troubling for a variety or reasons and the main one being that the only cures that are being performed in humans with stem cells are by using adult stem cells. Embryonic stem cells are extremely difficult to control and are not even near being available to cure anything. In addition, I think the main reason that embryonic stem cells are being pushed on us is because there is more money to be made by patenting embryonic stem cells for cures that using adult stem cells which would belong to the patient already and therefore the pharmaceutical companies would have a more difficult time patenting them.
The book at the following link does an extremely good job and discussing the economics and politics behind the stem cell debates and it really is quite scary in my opinion. Here is the link:

Those JWs are turning into damn lawyers.
Well, this is not surprising considering the set-up and style of the organization today was started by JF Rutherford who was himself a lawyer.
By the way, does anyone have a pdf of this question boxk from the September KM?

Hi:
The Catholic Mass is beautiful. It is the way Christians have worshipped for over 2000 years. It is very different from the KH and when the Mass is done well it is a full sensory experience. If you have any questions about why Catholics worship the way they do feel free to ask me.
