  Gran is dying.

  my dear granny hasn't been feeling well for some time and has had a problem keeping anything down.

  she had lost a lot of weight and gone for many tests.

  those tests came back and on friday we were told she has cancer of the pancreas.

  So sorry to hear about your Granny. Hope that you can say all that you need to her before she is unable to comprehend and that your family will be able to help Grandpa as well.

  Hubby's going to the big meeting instead of celebrating our anniversary

  seems i was right when i accused him that the cult means more to him than i do.

  Sorry for saying this but.........may be he has been up to something and feels the need to get "good" with God, so doing a sacrifice, but you are the sacrifical lamb. Time to start living your life dear...and I dont mean get even...just do something constructive with your life and not destructive to your life.

  Has Your Heart and Mind Changed About Hiring JWs To Fill Job Openings?

  if you own a company or small business, will you hire a jw over a non-jw?

  did you find jws more productive than non-jws and more honest and outgoing for your business expansion?

  the watchtower tries to state that jws are in high demand because of their honesty, you think the world is smarting up and realizing they are just regular people who follow men?

  Being in the construction business while I was active JW we would try to hire "brothers" but it turned out very badly each time (Like Elders taking your clients by leaving their business cards at the job site, when we specifically said they were not to solicit work from clients while working for us) It was the last straw so agreed no more JW employees.

  Again, its all talk in the magazines but very opposite in real life. I will say there are a few that I would trust but very few as workers.

  "The Truth Changes" with the text from the "Simplified" Edition WT

  Maybe they will just make the change this Sept/Oct magazine to say that since GB is the FDS there will no longer be any need for the wine and bread to be passed at the memorial and the talk will be to further build up the GB power, thus no more increasing number of partakers and they will only have to mention the FDS/GB did drink and eat for us all.

  Seems the first announcement of changes is about this time and final WT article of the changes get done in Set/Oct.

  I hope that a run in to some old timers and get some feedback.

  Two JW's just came by

  so as i'm here browsing jwn while in bed, i hear the door knock at my apartment door!.

  i was thinking it was my co-worker who lives opposite of me because i have no family nor friends where i'm currently living (job relocation for 3 months).

  one a couple of occasions, persons have knocked, but they realize they're at the wrong door.. so i was in my speedos and opened the door and i see two sisters at the door!!!.

  Yes it was...I am not sure its still on the site I tried to find it but couldnt.

  I should have asked them to show me that particular video. If I get that presentation again I will ask them for the Mastubation Video.

  Two JW's just came by

  I had two young women in in their 20's stop by last week...new ones as I am usually avoided like the plague by former brother and sisters, I have only faded not DF or DA. Anwyay I answer the door and she holds up her phone with a video playing (sign language) asking me if I know of anyone who does not hear or does sign language...Yes I say...now she is taken back a moment because she expected No and had her presentation set for that answer.

  She starts to explain their video to which I stop her and state that I have seen their video and it was DISGUSTING that they would ever put up a video by a man that looks very similar to this guy...all about what not to do SEXUALLY...she was surprised but I could tell the other women did know something about it. I told them that I saw no reason for such a thing to be presented on their website.

  They thanked me and left...no convention invite, no magazines, just a cell phone video presentation. My how times are changing.

  MIL letter to my wife

  background: my wife and i are inactive, we stopped attending in 2005. raised as jws, were pioneers, i was elder etc... .

  our kids are in college, also inactive but are baptised.

  my wife went back to college, getting her degree this month at age 48!

  I have faded and in the beginning when they would say come back to Jehovah...I would make it clear that I have not left Jehovah and have full confidence that he will provide for me and my form of spirituality is from my heart and therefore I know its acceptable to him. Of course I dont use Jehovah name anymore unless I am reverse witnessing.

  I once told a older member who was telling me how much they missed me that I am focusing on keeping Jehovah's integrity and to worship him how the bible tells us to and that is with LOVE and I will always try to keep INTEGRITY first and formost for our God. That the Bible is full of examples where forgiveness and love are evident (prodigal son) and do not believe what is taught about shunning is bible based but man made and that Proverbs tells us to beware of this. She just stood there with her mouth open and I bid her farewell.

  If you do reply use simple scriptures on love and mention that you are living a Godly life so Satan is not who you serve and that in checking the validity of what WT states is not scriptually accurate and that Integrity to God is more important that loyalty to Brooklyn or Peterson. Maybe quote the scripture about checking what is taught is so... That you are so sorry that they chose to not practice what the bible teaches and are disowning their own children but that you will always keep them in your prayers and will always practice LOVE and that your hearts and doors are always open to them should they change their minds or new lights come on at headquarters, well maybe not that last part.

  Keep happy and keep the door open and always express love to Them, but dont waste a lot of time trying to remove the scales from their eyes as they are so blinded by the brainwashing but never give up hope that they may see the light someday. Never let them say you are serving Satan just because your butt isnt in a Kingdom Hall....its is how we live our life daily...You might remind them of the Golden Rule.

  i am so tired of waking up without hope.

  so tired of fighting one more day...i just want it to end as painless as possible.

  Sounds like you are thinking about suicide which is a permanent solution to a TEMPORARY problem. Many of us have had the thoughts of just wanting it to be over and once I had this pointed out to me that where I was emotionally was a Temporary State of Mind.

  I feel that when the JW doctrine of Paradise Earth doesnt come when soooo many looked for it as a way to solve their problems it can be overwhelming when it doesnt come soon enough and then realization it probably is never going to come can be too overwhelming.

  PLEASE think that where you are today could change in ways you can't image within the next hour or day or month, etc. Sometimes I just have to keep my mantra that " the Universe will provide for me" and I will trust what I am going through now (even if not what i think I want) will still work out for my better good.

  Keep the faith (whatever that may be for you) this life is worth fighting/living for and that you are reaching out on here is proof you still are fighting PLEASE keep doing this and reaching out to others where you live to find strength to keep strong because you are a blessing to others as they are to you.

  How many Volunteers built the WBTS Real Estate Empire?

  i have wondered are there any numbers on how many volunteers have contributed to the mega real estate holdings now being sold for mega millions?

  how many have been let go over that last several years without any social security or unemployment benefits?

  has anyone challenged the law of volunteer versus employee that has allowed the wbts make so much money off their real estate holdings?
