then i cant help but come to the conclusion that everyone who died (like 99.999% of humanity at the time) was doomed from the start.. if god directed noah to build a flotation device with very specific parameters, god must have known exactly how many people, animal species, plant etc, would be in it.. what if people actually listened to noah and thousands upon thousands turned up waiting to enter the ark?

god must have known that only so many people will listen and obey instructions.. no to mention that noahs message didnt really reach that many people.

at that time how many people could have heard it?

I'm very sorry to hear about how your parents treated you as a teenager. I don't understand how a parent can do that to a child.

P90x

for any of you who may doubt this fitness routine, it is for real.

iam in my 6th week(phase 2) and i have never felt of looked better.

i was fit before p90x (ran 4-5 miles, kayaked, weight training etc), but this program has allowed me to break through the wall.

Mark: Crossfit.... there's not much aerobic stuff

Over the last few years I've mixed in Crossfit style workouts (see the Benchmarks) for maybe 6-12 week periods to mix things up from traditional weightlifting/cardio routines. I can assure you, there's a tremendous aspect of aerobic conditioning, considering that you're pushing yourself to beat a previous record on a timed WOD (that should be the goal).

Try the workout called "Cindy" at the above link. It looks easy on paper, but if you 'bring it', I doubt you'll worry about getting enough aerobic exercise.

That said, Crossfit has evolved so much they've left me in the dust. I'm not looking to be an elitist in stats or physique. I just wanna be healthy and fit and have fun doing it. That's why I liked the workouts from 2-3 years ago.

I've heard good things about P90x but never tried it since CF is free.

my errors are not hidden in an attempt to make me look better, this simply is a presentation of the facts that led up to the disfellowshipping and a re-telling of the contents of the meeting.. .

Yan... excellent point. That had not occurred to me until someone - possibly you - posted it on a different thread a few weeks ago.

Too bad this point, among others, is lost on those of faith who can rationalize it away with a magical flick of the wrist. It seems hardly different than a JW explaining away one of the many flaws of WT doctrine.

if a disfellowshipped child molester wanted to "go back "

this man is a ex minservant who was disfellowshipped years ago for an affair with his daughters friend (he married the girl eventually ) about 5 years before he was disfellowshipped he was reprooved for child sex abuse and kept in the cong ,then went on to abuse again another jw girl (that didnt get found out about at the time .

) a few years after that he abused my child , a non jw in court he was only sentenced for a few "smaller " charges but got off with a lot of things concerning all 3 victims which he had denied !

all the victims had not seen eachother in years and stories colloberated with eachother !

The dad had been raping the oldest girl since she was ten years old. When it came to light, she was 16 and the elders disfellowshipped her and her rapist for immorality.

The Mom got DF'd for "willfull disobediance" because the elders told her she did not have grounds for divorce and must stay with hubby, she did not, she grabbed her kids and ran.

Un. Freaking. Believable. How could those elders live with themselves? What does that say about the WT suppressing the instinctive moral compass of elders in such cases? And then to punish the girl .... isn't that some form of moral turpitude? How could an elder not hear the voice inside his own head, begging him to protect the innocent, to stand up for the poor child???

Sphere, did you ever read Crisis? Ray gave similar examples of the "old days" in which a mate committed act(s) of bestiality or homosexuality and the spouse had no grounds for divorce based on the "light" at that time. I believe in one of those cases, the innocent mate was DF'd for divorcing without grounds. But your Smith experience is so much worse. (I want to tell my elder brother about this and see what he says but I'm sure he wouldn't believe me.) What human being with half a heart would EVER want to be associated with an oranization that 1) gives itself the authority to make such judgment calls and 2) gets it SO wrong and destroys the lives of children?

As for your family members who have selective memory, I'd be tempted to shove a photo in their face like they do on the cop shows.... you know how they always put a childhood picture of the victim in front of them and won't let them ignore it until they acknowledge the truth. Of course, maybe I shouldn't get all my ideas from Law & Order. It's a shame they choose not to remember.
