he was convicted of having child pornography on his computer a few years ago.
he very much wants to go to the meetings but the sentence he was given prohibits him from having any association with children.

Wow!! How can I say emotional abuse!! The part where you describe bursting into tears for no reason out of the blue, on and off meds etc...ur not alone. I'm a grown man with no recorded or diagnosed mental illness and just the shock of losing ur whole family and friends and the whole "support system" overnight is enough of a mental shock to make you have feelings like this. Don't worry ur normal. I'm a grown man and have episodes like this where I'll just start crying for no reason (the real reason behind it though is the pain of losing my family and the injustices that you've had to go through at the hands of the wts. Good luck and hang in there. Things WILL get better with time. :D

i explained the 607 factor and her reaction to that was "well, that isn't important to me as i still believe, plus, there's no where else for me to go.".

Good luck!! If there are no major marital problems, try and keep your wife on your side. In other words don't make any big rash moves. Evidently she is still brainwashed by the society and she probably has the elders "helping" her without your knowledge. I personally know elders that have literally split up families by telling the wife or husband that they can get a scriptural divorce based on spiritual endangerment...or in laymans terms based on the fact that you can see through the whole scam they will try to cut you out of the picture. Its sad but it happens. Instead try the approach that you've been praying about several things you don't agree with and that you have come to the conclusion that all is not as rosy and unblemished as it appears in the org. Show her all your findings based on the bible and their own literature from the wts. This will slowly get her thinking as jws are taught to hear selectively. Open up to hard and fast and they'll dismiss you as an apostate. Even trying the "I was wondering if you could do some research on a topic I have a hard time understanding, like the generation flop. This way she can come to a realization that a lot of things are just plain silly. Always focus on one topic and one topic only as if not you'll get lost in the jw shuffle. They're famous for changing the topic when they're wrong or they can't answer the question. Good luck!! I hope your wife comes around as its no fun having to be single again especially with kiddies. But like someone I admire once said, "its better to stand alone with the truth than surrounded by a buncha sellouts with lies"

I think that we are always looking. I think a lot of us just give up on the whole relationship thing as in general its pretty much the same losing battle from one to the next. We all know that repeat sexual child molesters are sick in the head, its like trying to "rehabilitate" a straight man into a gay man (no offence to either side :) it aint gonna happen cause its their sick twisted preference! Most jw men are pushovers. All their wives ( women are so smart) use the whole "ill call the elders" reel-in when we get too vocal about anything that's not going our way and we just go along cuz we don't want the elders involved. Notice I speak in the first person as I was one of those guys and I think most former jws who've been out long enough all would agree that's how things went down. Especially if you weren't the super spiritual jw, cuz the elders were already partial to you cuz of your field service bringing down the congregation average lol! Its only leading up to my seperation and leaving the borg that you don't give a sh!t and that's when I grew balls and became a man. Can you imagine grown men afraid of other men. I'd swear they were the mob or something!!

Crazy!! Our healthcare system is stretched thin already and they have to waste precious resources (doctors and nurses) testifying and fighting to save this poor boys life! And the article said that the hospital didn't even try to recoup legal costs! I hope the wts enjoys seeing all the lives that they've ruined through their indoctrination!! Thanks to all the taxpayers for chipping in to make sure this boy gets treated. And unthanks to the wts for using worldwide donations to promote their murderous doctrines!!! Poor kid at 10 is already brainwashed! At least someone stood up for him.
