I am with the others, this is NOT AN EPIC FAIL. You did a TERRIFIC job, courageous to take your phone in, and lie about it when asked. Also, courageous to try to explain and apologize when you were discovered. What COURAGE you have! You faced your oppressors and looked them square in the eye, and dealt with them respecfully, with an honourable goal of making a display of the monkeyshow so they could have eyewitness evidence to consider.

You set out to accomplish a goal, you planned it and accomplished it. GOOD JOB.

And, regarding keepin your wife----> you both are so LUCKY.

suppose two people, alice and bob, have different views upon some controversial issue.

we might imagine alice is a jehovahs witness and bob is an doubting relative, and the issue could be: is jehovahs witnesses gods organization.

now we give them both new information, some favorable to the issue being true, others unfavorable.

So, guess what? I got shunned yesterday! Yay!!!!

So, it's official. I can no longer access that former best friend of mine through email. Facebook can't seem to "find" her. Hmmm.....

Incidently, she unfriended my never-been-baptized brother, too. Nice! You can never be TOO careful. Better cut off ALL contact with nonJW family. They're DANGEROUS.

Weirdly enough, I found out through the grapevine through someone who is willing to still talk to me, that she is really broken up about losing me. Could've fooled me, BITCH!

But, its nice to know, I'M lovable. Even if people don't show it. It's a selfish kind of love (they have for me).

Next time this happens to me, again, I'm going to ask the seeming innocent person who confronted me about this gossip if s/he believes it or not. If so, I'll drop them as a friend.
Are they going to support me in getting this stopped? If not, I'm going to drop them.
I won't lecture them or question them beyond those words. They will have already proven their mettle with me.

Perhaps you are right, about letting it go, Cognizant Dissident. Though, I DO know that what I said was correct. It does not HAVE to be based on falsehoods, it can be true. For ex: let's say I am a chef in a restaurant, and I have aids. Somehow, it gets out that I have aids, let's say by a food reporter who writes an article about my restuarant saying, "Don't worry about the AIDS, the food's GREAT!" And suddenly I notice a drop off in customers. This person has spoken TRUTH, but they defamed my character in a social setting and it has materially damaged me.

And there are many other examples as well, such as politicians and celebreties suing for exposure of some truth by the media. It can be true, but it can also harm their reputation.

Ynot, please give me some ideas! The family vultures are contacting me. To "save" me, or "sniff me out" surely!!! Why do they have to proactively APPOINT themselves as the cleaners of God's organization? Why are they like eager to play Grim Reaper, come and kill me with their scicle and bury the dead?

Thanks for all your thoughts, guys. Does anyone have any thoughts for what to do next?

Just leave it be? Or pour on the guilt, as Ynot was suggesting, like: It discourages me to feel so unloved knowing people are saying I don't love God or the bible anymore, and I don't want to be a Christian anymore. And it just breaks my heart that I would have to threaten to sue my fellow workers in the faith to protect my reputation.
