Maybe there is a God!!
by RubyTuesday inthe pervert elder that went to court for my niece's rapest(he lied to the judge about what a great jw he was and that my niece was just a liar..when he knew that this sicko had a past for raping little girls) was killed in a car accident tuesday morning.

Hope the bastards' burning in hell.............wouldn't JWs all be shocked if, upon dying, they found out there really WAS an afterlife????
Anyone who can go in to court and DEFEND a known child molester deserves to die, in my opinion...........

Will They Abduct My Son!
by 68storm ini would appreciate some input from the board that is weighing quite heavy on mind.. as some of you may know, my ex divorced me six years ago, strictly for religious reasons.
after an enormous amount of legal funds, i succeeded in getting an agreement signed that states that when the child reaches an age that the courts consider mature enough, we would both allow him to make his choice of religions.
even if he wanted nothing to do with religion.. it would seem that the time has finally arrived.

Storm, I'm so sorry to hear what you're going through........you ex sounds like a true JW - a real head case..........I don't think you have to worry too much about her trying to kidnap your son, although I would not rule it out completely. Remember, to her way of thinking, if her son stops going to the Hall, he'll die at Armageddon!! If she did try anything, remember, once she got caught, she'd be charged with kidnapping and would be doing some serious time in the Big House
Who has custody of your son? Is it joint custody? From what you've said, I think your son sounds as though he might not really like going to the Hall, especially if he's having it shoved down his throat.
I would definitely get a GOOD lawyer, tell him what your wife has been doing, and see what can be done.
As for paying her the $25,000, I'd talk to the lawyer too to see what he says. I think the average child support payment in Ontario is between $300 - $450/month. If you were overpaying her by $700 - $800/month (which I think you were), then this should cancel out any overpayment she might think she's entitled to. Depending on how much you make per year, $1,100 sounds like a hell of a lot of money for one kid. (Lemme guess: she doesn't work, is a reeeeal good Christian, and will screw you out of every penny you got, right?).
Good luck and please let us know what happens..........by the way, how ever did your ex get a scriptural divorce if she divorced you for religious reasons? I guess the good ol' boy's club can close their minds to that when it's nice and convenient eh?

"......the whole shunning thing is for smoking 27 years ago and I quit that about 14 years ago....."
Hi Moana;
I'm confused.....were you disfellowshipped? Or disassociated? If you gave up smoking 14 years ago, then why won't your mother associate with you? Did some "new light" come out in one of the mags again, saying you can't associate with relatives who are DA???

Other than AA, I'm not sure what you can do..........I agree though, that unless the person ACKNOWLEDGES that they have a drinking problem, and they WANT to change, there's absolutely nothing you can do.
My sister drinks ALOT. I would say she has 4 or 5 drinks every day except on the weekend when she probably has more like 10 on Saturday and maybe 6 or 7 on Sunday. She and my brother-in-law drink stuff like Scotch and Southern Comfort STRAIGHT........they don't even put Coke with it (yuk!). She says she knows she has "one vice" as she likes to call it, but says "I'm NOT giving it up!" When she complains that she's putting on weight (gee, can't imagine WHY!!), I suggested that she cut her drinking in half............she simply said "that's not gonna happen."
My sister and brother in law are very prominant in their congregation and she thoroughly enjoys the social status and they are out every weekend and often through the week, with other Witnesses, drinking their faces off. Because she tends to drink over several hours, she doesn't think she's an alcoholic, but I do.
Unfortunately, there's nothing I can say or do to get her to stop or even slow down. The strange thing is, alcoholism does not run in my family. Neither of my parents drank (or they drink very little. A 40 oz. will last them 5 years). The only one that did was my grandfather, but he wasn't an alcoholic.........weird.......

Now listen to a story 'bout a man named Sad;
Poor Iranian that barely kept his people fed;
Then one day, we were shootin' him fer food,
An' up from the ground come a bubblin' crude..........
Well the first thing ya know, ol' Bush's a millionaire;
The Muslims said "George get away from here!"
They said "Back west is the place ya outta be!"
So he loaded up the crude and hauled back to D.C.

The mother of all gripes
by kenpodragon ini personally feel that the single biggest problem in modern society, is the lack of taking personal responsibility for our own actions.
i think that as a culture we have allowed people the room to make excuse after excuse, and accept these as something that should be legit.
well w e see kids raised in families that love them, feed them, take care of them to the best of their means.

The worst ones are the defense lawyers for their scumbag clients who they know full well are guilty, but hell, lets try and get them off anyway. Lawyers today tend to forget that their role is to ensure that justice is done in any court case, not to try and get their client off at all costs. I think of that prick of a lawyer in that Van Dame case earlier this year where the neighbour raped and killed that sweet little girl and his frigging lawyer tried saying it was the parents' "lifestyle" that was really to blame. That lawyer should receive the death penalty along with his client.
Yep, people sue for the dumbest thing.......I plan on suing my doctor, but that's because his incompetence almost cost me my frigging life. I think that's justified. But a fat person suing the fast food restaurants? Gimme a break.....no one forces you to go in there for god's sake.........of course, the best one I've heard is where some black people in America today, want billions of dollars from the government as compensation for slavery. Of course, none of them were slaves, but what does that have to do with anything?
Of course, it's really not OUR fault that we won't take responsibility for anything we do........it goes all the way back to Adam and Eve...........when Jehovah asked them if they had eated the fruit, Adam blamed Eve ".....the woman YOU gave me......", and of course, Eve blamed the snake ".......the serpant, it deceived me and so I ate it."
So it's really all Adam and Eve's fault - dey set a real bad example for us children.............
