this [unnamed] brother related a story told to him by another [unnamed] elder who knew an [unnamed] circuit serpent who was "really chummy with one of the [unnamed] executives at the royal ontario museum".

Anyway, my father related a story that some brother he ran into recently at the ASSembly told him. This [unnamed] brother related a story told to him by another [unnamed] elder who knew an [unnamed] Circuit Serpent who was "really chummy with one of the [unnamed] executives at the Royal Ontario Museum". This [unnamed] CO asked this [unnamed] executive one day about the "real age" of a 90-foot sauropod dinosaur that is on display there. This [unnamed] executive replied "about 13,000 years old". (Although they haven't made mention of it in a number of years, my father still holds fast to each Creative Day being about 7,000 years in length). The CO then asked him why it's advertised as being 150 million years old. The [unnamed] executive replied that it's because "virtually all of the donors to the Royal Ontario Museum are all athiests and they want it that way". (Wow! And here I thought it was the Jews who had all the money!) This is quite an interesting statement to make since approximately 70% of Canadians believe in a God.
So there you have it. Verified proof from an unnamed elder, and unnamed CO and an unnamed executive at the Royal Ontario Museum that a huge world-side conspiracy (surely directed by Satan himself) is covering up the 'true age of the dinosaurs.'
I'm just waiting to hear a story about how they actually found one of these species inside the remains of Noah's Ark. Of course, I just rolled my eyes at this crap and realized that another JW Urban Legend has been born. This dumb-assed story with absolutely no verifiable characters will be spread throughout the Watchtower World so that any Doubting Thomas' can relax knowing that the bible's description of the age of creation is only several thousand years old, not millions. It also begs the question as to how exactly a CO was on such friendly and intimate terms with a worldly executive, when a CO travels from congregation to congregation for 50 weeks out of each year and has very little contact with anything outside of the WTS.

There once was a young girl (no age given) who was imprisoned (no location given) for being one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Everyday, she was horribly beaten by her guards. Incredibly, she endured these beatings and didn't even feel the blows. The reason for this was that she had Watchtower literature in her cell which she would study diligently everyday. Well, one day she decided to take a break from the studying and instead read a regular novel. This proved to be a poor choice, because on the day which she neglected study for a fictional novel, she FELT every blow.
Wow! The only thing missing on this sister was a red cape and yellow boots!

The True One said: It has to be accepted though that there are people who were once associated with the JWS and are now leading not so wholesome of a personal life style... .........one JW fellow I grew up with in the JWS, who was a born in as myself, recently left the JWS only to go widely lose without morals, ending up trafficking drugs across the border into the States. He eventually got caught and is now serving a 5 year prison sentence.
This is, unfortunately, not an isolated incident amongst people who leave the Organization. Part of the problem is that the religion itself is extremely repressive and guilt-driven on the most ridiculous things, that many times people just go bezerk when they leave and they end up doing every immoral thing imaginable.
Another part of the problem is that as Witnesses, we were never taught to really have a 'moral compass' within ourselves so that we could determine what was right and what was wrong. The only 'moral compass' that Witnesses can be guided by, is the one that a group of senile, sexually repressed, moronic goons at the top have. In other words, a Witness' conscience is not self-regulated, but rather is controlled from an outside source. Therefore, when you break ties with the people who have been your conscience, you have no real guide-line within yourself as to how to live your life in a positive way and many who leave the Borg go off the deep end as Thetrueone's example above. My sister was the same way. She wasn't allowed to do anything 'normal' growing up because we were Witnesses, so she ran away from home at 16, got into drugs, drinking, smoking and sleeping with anything that moved.
The Organization of course, will not take any responsibility for these scenarios of course, and gleefully point the finger at these ones and say "See what happens when you leave the Truth!"

In actuality, they had to use the word "lawlessness" means:
law·less (lôls)
adj.
1. Unrestrained by law; unruly: a lawless mob.
2. Contrary to the law; unlawful: the lawless slaughter of protected species.
3. Not governed by law: the lawless frontier.The vast majority of Witnesses who get disfellowshipped are not people who are truly "lawless" by definition, but rather, are people who have come to realize how suffocating and demeaning it is to be a Witness, especially in light of the fact that the leaders (whom claim sole propriety on speaking for God) have obviously screwed up when it comes to fortelling when The End is coming, which in turn has screwed over the vast majority of Witnesses with regards to higher education, getting a decent job, and saving for old age and retirement. Those who get The Axe are generally not "rebellious", but they simply want a normal life, doing normal things----things which by the Craptower's definition, are "Satanic".
While in the past most disfellowshippings were for 'fornication', I think more and more are getting DF'd for 'apostasy' because people are waking up and realizing that the Governing Body's predictions are pure bullshit and not 'directed by Holy Spirit'. The GB knows this, but rather than admit that they've been wrong about just about everything imaginable, they change their old embarassing interpretations to new embarassing interpretations which completely contradict their previous interpretations and if you don't blindly accept it, you're branded an 'apostate'. This of course is done to try and keep control over the masses and nothing is more frightening to a bunch of tyrannical thugs than to be exposed for what they truly are: a bunch of tyrannical thugs.
While they must realize that they've lost control on much of what the R&F think and do now, their one remaining weapon is still 'disfellowshipping' as it still has the power to destroy a persons life mentally, emotionally, spiritually and quite often, financially. That is why articles like this are coming out more and more. They're terrified that the disfellowshipped person will reveal to their relatives who are still in, many things that the Society would rather keep hidden and they figure the best way to prevent that is to forbid normal contact between practicing Witnesses and those who have discovered the truth about 'The Truth'.
It's sort of a double-edged sword at this point. There will indeed be Witnesses who take their shit advice straight to heart and shun their own flesh and blood. On the other hand, I plan on sending out copies of this article to several local churches in my area showing them how Jehovah's Witnesses are instructed to treat family members who decide they want to say, celebrate Christmas or Easter. In fact, it would be great if others on here did the same thing. The more bad publicity that this stinking cult gets, the better.

by flipper inwith the new " overlap generation " theory that the wt society is pushing onto rank and file jehovah's witnesses since last year this article i found really heavy hitting in the jw version of the wt.
the wt society is leaking oil in that confidence is low among jw's in not really buying into the " generation overlap " theory as many younger jw's are exiting the organization.
so what better way to try reeling members back in by giving them an article entitled " do not deceive yourself with false reasoning " !

It's an oxymoron actually. If you take the scripture above and apply it to waiting for a train, it would hardly make any sense if you were told at the train station that the train will be delayed, but at the same time, it won't be late.

To illustrate , imagine you are expecting guests. Anticipation of their visit may lead to a flurry of activity as you attend to necessary household chores related to their stay. However, then you receive word that your visitors are delayed. Will you abandon the preparations?
Oh gee, lemme think.....hmmm.....if I were expecting dinner guests at 5:00 and they still hadn't shown up by 7:00 with no explanation, I'd be fairly pissed off and would start clearing the table by 8:00pm. Are the asswipes in the Writing Department suggesting that we should still be waiting for those guests 130 years after they first said they'd show up?
Such reminders are needed when as a result of waiting over what SEEMS TO BE AN EXTENDED PERIOD , people are at risk of losing their urgency."
An 'extended period'? Is that what they're calling an 'overlapping generation' these days? Witnesses from every decade since the 1870s have been promised and assured time and time again that Armageddon would come in their day. It never did. Yet they appear to be shocked that "people are losing their urgency" waiting for something that never shows up?
we should NOT be overly concerned that this wicked system MAY have lasted LONGER than WE EXPECTED.
Really? Gee, then maybe the Slobbering Body members should not be overly concerned that we are not overly concerned that many no longer believe it's coming. Oh wait a minute---I forgot. That bit of advice is only for the rank and file---not the senile drooling old vegetables who dream this shit up.
For example , we might tell ourselves, ' Jehovah's day is undoubtedly coming - but not immediately. ' Such a shift in expectations could lead to a relaxed approach toward our theocratic activities
And thus the reason for the article. They know full well they've painted themselves into a corner (yet again) and are desperate to keep the $$$ coming in and it's pretty hard when everyone's abandoning ship.
Man, these guys generate more crap than an Exlax factory and manure farm combined.
