watchtower 1965, page 429 says, "instead of opposing a change in scriptural understanding, organizational procedure or organizational structure,it is better to adjust oneself to it, remembering that, whatever change is made by god's organization, the change is for the good of those in it.

to resist this advancement is to resist jehovah's spirit that operates on the organization, causing it to advance.......although a person may not at first appreciate the need for a change, as time passes he will begin to see how it benefits the organization.

".........so there you have it, whether you think something is right or wrong is not the point; the point is you must do as you are told, because benefitting the organization is all that's important.

Jjrizo: Yep, I have in fact, been in this position where you got the elders sitting across from you watching every move you've made, seeing if your "repentent" (I lied my ass off and said I was! LOL!). However, the difference is that Bill has done nothing wrong scripturally, morally or legally. What he HAS done, is expose the inadequate policies that the Governing Body has set out in dealing with pedophiles, as well as a huge cover up within the Borganization. If they were playing even by their own rules, they have no grounds to DF him and they know it. The fact that they've ignored their own guidelines, shows what a bunch of sleazoid pimps these guys really are and it needs to be exposed.

If all the media continue to "harass" Brooklyn, and if any of these cases end up going to court, then these guys are going to be made a laughing stock in front of the whole world including 6 million Witnesses.

This is not just about Bill being DF'd without any evidence whatsoever. This is about him and all the other ones that took a stand on the side of children who are being sexually abused while these bastards stand by and do NOTHING!

That's why I say NO WAY, he should stand and FIGHT this thing. If he just goes quietly into the night, then Brooklyn wins and it'll be the Ray Franz incident all over again. Today, we have the Internet and much more media coverage for this sort of thing. It's brought the Catholic Church to it's knees, so there's no reason why it can't bring the WTS to it's knees as well.

Excellent points! But you forgot to mention that if you go to High School dances, Class Reunions, or see any of the Austin Power movies, you will most likely die at Armageddon for that too. This is what our last CO insinuated.......what a jerk.....

I can't believe some here are telling Bill that his appeal will "do no good" and that he should "move on".....Forget it! The Governing Body wants Bill and everyone else to believe that he should just accept their judgement (as per usual) and "move on". I say, NO WAY.........This has been a long time in coming. The Watchtower Society, and the Governing Body have been pushing JWs around for decades, forcing them to believe false doctrines, telling them not to get married, or to have children, or to by a home or to get a good education, all on pain of being cut off from family and friends.

To me, what's happening now is the last straw. To protect child molestors and offer up JW children as human sacrifices just so they can try and keep a good name, is the lowest thing the Borganization has EVER done! Not only is it scripturally and morally wrong, its ILLEGAL and some of the top guys at Brooklyn could have their sorry asses thrown in jail for "aiding and abedding" known criminals. They've got more than enough Witnesses to prove it too. And then to purposely sleaze their way around and disfellowship anyone who dares to question them, shows that they are "from [your] father, the Devil. That one was a manslayer when he began....."

While it might be easy to give up, there are things in life worth fighting for and this is one of them. These brothers and sisters who have been DF'd are not alone.......they've got LOTS of supporters who will do what it takes to expose these guys for what they truly are.

So don't give up Bill; stick to your guns and these guys will eventually be forced to change.

Yep, I remember reading this in I think Ray Franz' book.......or somewhere..........It's hard to say whether these men actually totally BELIEVE that Jehovah approves their warped sense of logic, or if they're only trying to make it appear that He approves of their warped sense of logic.

And isn't it interesting that they admit that their MAIN goal, is not to try to be the best Christian possible, by helping the widows and orphans, by practicing love and goodness towards all, but that "Unity at all costs" is their main objective in life. Well, times have changed, and I'm sure most of them are totally freaked out by what's happening and by their loss of face in the public's eye, and by the loss of faith that a good percentage of the Flock no longer have for them.

The Emporer has no clothes on, and it's time for a change.

i really need your feedback .

i am really down on the dumps regarding being shunned and torn apart about da (i haven't yet).

a week ago i wrote to dr. phil on oprah and wrote briefly about jw practices on shunning.

Well, if you're already being shunned for not living up to THEIR expectations, I would definitely say, go on the show. They can't do anything worse to you, and you'll be doing a GREAT service by appearing on the Oprah Winfrey Show, and exposing exactly what is going on within the Organization. If you could get Barbara Anderson or Bill or that poor sister out in Washington who was also on Dateline to appear with you, it would be great as there is strength in numbers. And like I said in another posting, Oprah would be VERY sympathetic, as she herself was a victim of child abuse.

I would suggest that when you do a letter, address it to Milton Henschel, and cc the rest of them individually instead of just putting "Governing Body". I would also like to suggest that you put "PRIVATE AND CONFIDENTIAL" on it, as it would have a better chance of actually seeing these guys, rather than a secretary.

If all these letters are openly cc'd to Dateline, 20/20, 60 Minutes, or Oprah Winfrey, it might make them think twice before they just ditch the letters in the garbage too. I think Oprah would be a good person to cc, as she herself is a survivor of sexual abuse as a child, and would be very sympathetic to others who have experienced the same thing. She would probably also be outraged at people who are shunned for trying to protect these children by speaking out, by men claiming they are God's representatives on earth. As she has very high ratings, this could be a definite advantage.
