  Brothers told to stop being wasteful!

  i wonder what the real reason is behind this plea from the wbts.

  perhaps it is more evidence of a desire to downsize?.

  but they can't downsize the printing works if the brothers are being wasteful!

  I think the Society shot themselves in the foot with this one.......in my opinion, they should have never had it go to a "donation" basis, simply because too many Witnesses are cheap as hell and expect everything for free anyway. I know there was a big "tax" issue, but the simple thing to do would have been to simply include the tax in the cost of the magazines, end of story.

  What really pissed me off was when they stopped having hot meals at the assemblies, frigging cheapskates......oh, I forgot, it was because too many brothers were spending all their time in the kitchens rather than listening to the bullshit going on in the main auditorium and they weren't being brainwashed enough.

  Yep, I know one person at the Canadian Bethel, and she said that the money just isn't coming in like it used to (LOL at that!) and that's why all the downsizing is going on................I guess all that property down at Columbia Heights isn't worth anything eh?

  Count time Witnessing on Net

  i was under the impression that you could not count the time spent witnessing on the internet.

  i however can't find that anywhere in jw material.

  has anyone else heard this, or know where i can find this 'in print' (jw phraseology lol).

  most of you know about the story of the ms who ratted on wildturkey and me for smoking at the club, he smoked one of my cigs and was there with his girlfriend (he is married).

  well, i ran into him last night at the club and confronted him,, i asked him why he told on us, i just wanted to know, he said he didnt know why, he just felt pressured..i asked if he told on himself he said no!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  i wanted to slap him right there.

  Well, well, well, let's think about that........what sort of records would the authorities be interested in? Surely they're just dying to know how many hours the average Witness got in the month before, right??? Or maybe a brother got a "Work On" the last time they gave a talk! His introduction was not appropriate to theme and surely THAT'S something the authorities would be interested in!

  Or geeze, maybe they're interested in some of the pedophiles in the congregation eh?? But of course, that's just the media and apostates talking........there's really no problem with child molestation within the Organization..........and if you don't believe me, ask JR Brown!

  of all the shepherding calls that i know of, and no matter what the problem the flock may have encountered, essentially the same advice was given.

  most elders have neither the experience or understanding or right to judge personal matters such as marital concerns or child abuse.

  Lyin' Eyes, you've come to the right place. I understand you're furious, as I would be too, but if you want to get even with the MS that did this to you, then there are LOTS of ways to do it and fortunately, I have lots of great ideas!!!

  Seeing as this scumbag knows you're out for revenge, he'll probably try cooling it with his girlfriend for a bit....they'll probably either find another club or something. Do you know her name or where she lives? Follow them and get as many pictures as you can, preferably with them holding hands or something. Don't send them to his wife - not yet.

  Does he smoke on a regular basis? If you can possible get a picture of THAT, he'd be in MAJOR trouble. Video would work really well here too.

  Next, I'd put an ad in a real sleazy magazine stating something like "Swingin' Jehovah's Witness couple seeks sexual thrills with young single boys/girls who can be discreet" (yep, you'll have to pay for the ad, but it'd be well worth it.....and pay in CASH). Give his home phone number and put down a time when he's at work and his wife will pick up the phone and get the message (giggle). Although he'll deny everything, it'll put the spark of suspicion in her.

  Shortly after that, I would make a bunch of copies of the pictures of him smoking and of him and his girlfriend and send it to every single person at his Hall. If you don't have everyone's home address, then I'd go by one night during a meeting (after dark) and quietly put one envelope, complete with pictures and a copy of the ad in the sleazy magazine in all the cars in the parking lot. If the cars are locked, put them under the windshield wiper on the passenger side.

  This guy's days of playing Judas will be at an end.

  Yes, revenge is a dish best served cold. :-)

  i think i may have a potential problem on my hand.

  over the last year or so, i've been attempting to go the slow fade route with the jw religion.

  for the most part i've succeded, as my significant decrease in jw related activities has been greeted only by brief "pep talks" by my parents at worse.

  One thing to keep in mind: we live in a free country and you are under NO obligation to meet with the elders if you don't want to. If the PO does call you telling you he wants to come and talk to you, just say "no, I don't feel like it." He can't FORCE you to and as pathetic as they are, they can't DF you for missing alot of meetings.

  One area you might try is inventing some sort of sickness.....it's harder with guys, but maybe tell him that you haven't been to the meetings because you think you may be infected with the West Nile Virus or maybe something contagious. You haven't told your parents as you don't want them to worry and PLEASE don't say anything to them! Elders LOVE knowing other peoples "secrets" and he'd get right off on this.

  I got a call a few months ago from one of the elders to discuss MY poor meeting attendence. He asked if he could come over.

  I said, "I really don't feel up to it now".

  Elder: "Oh, you're not feeling well?"

  Me: "No, I haven't felt well for a while".

  Elder: "What seems to be the problem"

  Me: "Do you really want to know?"

  Elder: "Well, yes, I DO want to know" (nosy bastard.......so I let him have it)

  Me: Well, I've been having alot of problems with my period lately, and my emotions are right off the deep end and the doctor wants to do some tests to see what's going on down there, it's really bad."

  ABSOLUTE SILENCE.

  ROFLMFAO!!! You see, no matter what they teach them in Elder School, this is ONE area that NO ELDER (or any man) wants to go near. He got off the phone in record time and I haven't heard from him since.......HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

  Anyway, do NOT tell them what you really think. Either try the above, or just sit there and say "yes sir, no sir, three bags full"....and just continue on the way you are. In two years you'll be out of there and that'll be that.

  what did you miss in order to attend meetings?

  for me, it was the nfc championship game three years ago in order to attend the meeting, then, on top of that, the elders had *scheduled* a meeting for that day as well, to discuss the co visit.

  then there was a "supplemental" elder's school held a few years back that took me away from the afc title game.

  oh, i taped the stuff, but time-shift recording of sports just doesn't cut it.
